Being a pioneer in the development of a context based predictive text engine powered by Artificial and Linguistic, KeyPoint Technologies’ Adaptxt has already got its foot print on the Windows Mobile, Symbian and Android platforms. As on date, it is existent for both Symbian and Android platforms as a downloadable application on the Nokia Ovi Store and the Android Market.
Adaptxt Beta for Android
Adaptxt’s Beta version was released into the Android market on the 7th of November. Though quite a few applications are already present on the Android Market with the tag ‘predictive text’, Adaptxt’s learning and contextual prediction’s accuracy is unmatched.

Next Word Predictions: As the user types using Adaptxt, the learning ability of adaptxt makes it learn the user’s style of texting simultaneously. Once it learns the user’s style in the initial few instances, it provides the user relevant next word predictions in accordance to his style and also the context he is typing in.
Word Completions: Adaptxt also considers the context the user is currently typing in and suggests relevant completions for the word the user is typing.
Error Corrections: It is quite common for users to commit mistakes while typing. To get around this, adaptxt is powered with an error correction feature that identifies the mistakes made by the user while typing and provides accurate word corrections as suggestions.
Auto Correction and Revert: Adaptxt when it feels that the user has committed a mistake, it goes ahead and ‘auto corrects’ the word that was mis-spelt. This feature also comes with a level setting where the user can prescribe the level of intrusion he wants from adaptxt in auto correcting the errors. If the user doesn’t want auto correct to make the correction, he can just hit a back space so that the word entered by him is shown in the prediction bar so that the same can be tapped upon to be inserted into the sentence.
Automatic Learning into the Dictionary: Every time the user enters a new word of his own (ttyl, BrB) Adaptxt automatically learns those user specific words into the user dictionary and provides them as predictions in the future when the similar context arises.
Auto Capitalization of Nouns: It identifies all the nouns typed by you and auto capitalizes the first letter before you doing it.
Accented Suggestions: If the user wants to type in a different language occasionally, adaptxt understands this and powers the system with dynamic language detection which provides accented characters as suggestions.
Multi-Lingual Suggestions: For Multi-lingual users, Adaptxt offers a feature with which they can type in two different languages on the fly.
Acronyms: It also recognizes the Acronyms and provides suggestions at the stroke of the third character.
URL Suggestions: It muscles your android mobile by also predicting the URLs.
Add-On Manager: Another brilliant facility provided by adaptxt to its user is the in-app add-on management. It allows the user to enable, disable and prioritize its language dictionaries easily in-app.
