Order No.99Promotion Exercise for Senior Members: Mid-Year Round 2011
Recommendations are now invited from DCOs/CSO for the promotion of senior members under their command. Any of the following five types of promotion may be recommended:
(a)from Flying Officer to Flight Lieutenant;
(b)from Pilot Officer to Flying Officer;
(c)from Warrant Officer for direct appointment to either Pilot Officer or Flying Officer;
(d)from Instructor to Sergeant Instructor (recommendations accepted all year round); and
(e)from Sergeant Instructor to Warrant Officer (recommendations accepted all year round).
Interviews for candidates shortlisted for promotion from Fg Off to Flt Lt and from WO to Plt Off/Fg Off will be held, tentatively, in October 2011. Interview is not normally required for promotion from Plt Off to Fg Off, from Instr to Sgt Instr, and from Sgt Intr to WO. Recommendations should reach CSO via Ms WONG S M AA1, not later than 30.9.11. All recommendations will be vetted by CSO against established promotion criteria before submission to the CO for his consideration. Candidates who have not undergone performance appraisal and/or have not submitted the Duty Hour Log for the year 2010 may not be considered.
