AA TOC NOTES

  • Games will commence on Thursday05/22/14 and run through Saturday 05/31/14.
  • All games will be played @ Whittier Little League (“WLL”) Fields located at 10625 Cole Road, Whittier, 90604.
  • Entrance to WLL field is easiest on Mulberry Dr, or you can enter on Dunton Drive (in the neighborhood behind the fields – enter through gate behind AA field), or in the school parking lot off of Cole Road. The fields are located south of Lambert Road, between La Mirada Blvd. and Cole Road. Parking is not allowed in the “OPTIONS” Drop-Off (Blue Buildings) area or the Condominium parking lot located on Mulberry Drive; cars are subject and may be towed from these locations.
  • No one will be allowed on the fields until 4:00 p.m.
  • Field assignments are subject to change if necessary.
  • Submit/E-mail rosters prior to your first game to the Tournament Director/BOD (Board Member on Duty).
  • 2 game minimum only for this tournament.
  • No local or inter-league rules apply for this tournament; Little League Green Book rules apply; Tournament will follow regular season rules only (All-Star tournament rules are not in effect).
  • All managers are responsible for the conduct of themselves, their coaches, players and the crowd; All managers are to assist the umpire or Tournament Director in dealing with any issues as directed; Failure to do so may result in ejection from the game, future games or the tournament and the matter will be referred back to your home league for their review.
  • Only three coaches are allowed in the dugout at any time; Designated coaches may not be switched out during the game except with the approval of the Tournament Director or BOD; The manager should inform the Tournament Director or BOD before the game if he has knowledge that a coach will be leaving the game before its conclusion
  • There is no time limit for tournament games; All games will be played to their full conclusion (6 innings) per L.L. Green Book unless sunset or some other unusual circumstance occurs; If the umpire terminates play, then rules 4.10, 11, 12 are in effect

AA TOC NOTES

  • The 5 run inning rule is in effect, but the 6th inning and extra innings are open run innings; there are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule if sunset is approaching or some unusual circumstance occurs.
  • Sunset Rule applies, and will be posted at our snack shack.
  • Teams will bat their full roster (there is no defaulting to the fewest number of players); rule 4.04 is in effect for batting.
  • All mandatory play rules, pitch count rules and pitchers days rest apply per L.L. Green book; Violation of the pitching rules may result in a suspension from the next scheduled game.
  • Substitutions should be made through the plate umpire to the official scorekeeper
  • Substitutes must play “six CONSECUTIVE defensive outs” and have at least one at-bat before they can be removed from the game per rule 3.03 (1,2)
  • Pool players may be used per L.L. Green Book section V (1-4), but ONLY IF ABSOLUTELY necessary; The home league Player Agent or President should contact the Tournament Director prior to the team arriving at the game site to inform him of the situation and why a pool player is needed; Failure to notify the Tournament Director in advance may result in the pool player not being allowed to play----THIS IS A MUST!
  • All players with a bat in their hands are to wear a helmet; NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Coaches or any other adult are not allowed to warm up their pitchers anywhere on WLL grounds per rule 3.09; NO EXCEPTIONS
  • Once the umpire meets with the managers before the game, he becomes the controlling authority for all aspects of the game and everything on the field
  • Home team must provide a scorekeeper.
  • Visiting team to provide a pitch count verifier; If in the event, that a pitch count verifier is not provided, then the scorekeeper becomes the official record for pitch counts
  • Scorekeeper and pitch count verifier ARE TO SIT TOGETHER.
  • All score sheets and pitch count sheets are to be turned in to the Tournament Director or BOD after each game. Do not take them home.
  • Line-ups submitted to the scorekeeper for each game must include the player’s full name and jersey number.

AA TOC NOTES

  • Home and Visiting teams are pre-determined before the first game with an ‘H’ or ‘V’ next to the team name on the tournament schedule; Beginning with the second

game, a coin toss will be held between the managers 45 minutes prior to game time to designate home and away teams

  • No food, seeds, gum, candy, etc. are allowed in the dugout (only water and / or sports drinks)
  • No smoking, chewing tobacco, alcohol, bicycles, skateboards, scooters and dogs are allowed on the fields or school grounds
  • Any matters not covered by Official Rules and the Tournament Notes can be ruled on by the Tournament Director; All decisions made by the Tournament Director are final, including protests.
  • All Protests need to be settled prior to the next play.
