A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in loving memory and honor of David Woosley.

WHEREAS, for 25 years, David Woosley worked as a teacher in Lexington, Kentucky, and Houston, Missouri, instructing students in various subjects including American history, world history, government, geography, folklore, psychology, physical education, and English; and

WHEREAS, David Woosley was dedicated to his students and his community, devoting time and energy to instructing, coaching, advising, and counseling; and

WHEREAS, David Woosley was a talented and enthusiastic musician, always ready to play a tune and to share his musical knowledge with others; and

WHEREAS, David Woosley was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, boating, and motorcycle riding; and

WHEREAS, David Woosley was a much-loved member of Louisville's Heart of Fire City Church, whose bishop and congregation cherish the memory of their friend "Wooz"; and

WHEREAS, David Woosley leaves behind his mother, Myrtle "Nadine" Curtner Woosley; four sons, Jeffrey and wife Shastine, Gregory and wife Adrienne, Oliver, and Ahren; a daughter, Olivia Marie; and four grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, David Woosley's son Gregory is an attorney on the staff of the Legislative Research Commission, where his skillful committee work, legislative drafting, and legal research have earned him the respect and affection of legislators and colleagues; and

WHEREAS, the Senate deeply mourns the sudden and untimely loss of David Woosley, who will be remembered by family, friends, and students for his warm smile, kindness, friendliness, and generosity;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

âSection 1. The Senate expresses its deep sense of bereavement over the loss of David Woosley.

âSection 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of David Woosley.

âSection 3. The Clerk of the Senate shall deliver a copy of this Resolution to Gregory Woosley, in care of the Legislative Research Commission, State Capitol, Frankfort, Kentucky, for distribution to the family and friends of David Woosley.
