INSTRUCTIONS: Compulsory for students who have never taken a French Language course at Carleton. You must bring this questionnaire filled out at the first day of class and keep it with you to present it at the Orientation Committee (Fall session) if necessary. This questionnaire is designed to assess all levels of French from beginner to advanced. Please answer all questions. Read each statement carefully. 1. Because the Self-Assessment Questionnnaire is only a guide, you must be confirmed in class, in the course of your choice by your professor. If your level is judged inappropriate for the course you have chosen, you will be required to drop the course and transfer to another one. The Department cannot guarantee you a place in another course. Therefore, be accurate and honest with yourself in your self-assessment.

2. Francophone and bilingual students should register in 2100 or higher.

3. Students who intend to specialize in French should register in 1100 or higher.

ATTENDANCE IS COMPULSORY IN ALL COURSES.
