Witnesses should be over 16 years of age and should not be related to the tenant or spouse.
NOTES FOR TENANTS
1.Termination of Tenancy Date - you should insert the date in full, the day, the month and the year. You must give us at least 28 days notice of your intention to end your tenancy – it must be 28 days from the date we receive your form into the office for example, if we receive your form on 23 April, 28 days from then is 21 May and that date is when your tenancy will come to an end and is your termination of tenancy date. To be sure we receive your form, its advisable to hand deliver it to the Association’s office at 60-70 Main Street, Barrhead, in case there are any difficulties with the post.
2.Rent - you are liable for rental payment until the Termination of Tenancy date. Your Customer Services Officer will confirm in writing your termination of tenancy date and, if applicable, the balance outstanding on your rent account which will require to be cleared prior to you leaving the property.
3.Keys - The keys for your property should be handed in to the Association’s office no later than 12:00 noon on the date your tenancy is terminated. If there is a delay in returning the keys you will be charged extra rental or the locks changed and the costs involved will be charged to you. Two front door, back door, all close entrance keys/fobs, cellar and vestibule keys where applicable should be returned, otherwise you may be charged for new keys/locks
4.Inspection/Repairs - Your Customer Services Officer will contact you to arrange a suitable access time for a pre-termination inspection. Any repairs beyond those attributable to fair wear and tear will be charged to you and these will be drawn to your attention at the time of inspection. On vacating the property another inspection will take place and the same condition will apply. It is important that you ensure:
a)The property is left clean
b)No belongings are left in the house, stair, garden, shed or loftspace.
N.BEast Renfrewshire Council Cleansing Department will uplift large/bulky items by special arrangement at a cost.

c)Any adaptations/modifications you have made without our permission should be restored to its original condition.
Please note, any repair or bulk item which is your responsibility and is left outstanding, will be recharged to you and you will be responsible for repaying the Association for the cost of the work/uplift.
