Meals for Children When School Is Out

California’s summer nutrition programs can help feed your children

healthy meals during the summer months. The summer meal sites

are located throughout California. Look for a site near you!

Visit the California Department of Education Food Program Web page

at http://www.cde.ca.gov/ds/sh/sn/summersites.asp.

On the Web page, you will find a map of California. Click on your

county and see the list of sites serving free meals as a part of the

summer nutrition program in your area.

The list includes the name, address, and telephone number for each

site so you can call for additional information.

You can also call the Hunger Hotline at 1 (866) 3HUNGRY.

For Spanish Language Hunger Hotline call 1-877-8-HAMBRE.

The summer nutrition programs serve all children through age eighteen.

The programs also operate activities that are safe and fun. Children
