VO: Golf is Jason Harrell’s hobby…and he hopes to make it his career.
SND: I love golf, I love playing golf, I love being around golf…
VO: Harrell is a Professional Golf Management major at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The new program meets an industry demand.
SND: The PGA conducted a study and found out that employers are looking for a more educated golf professional.
SND: They felt that having an academic program that integrates their materials into that program would be the best situation for their future professionals.

VO: The program includes everything from how to fix a golf club…to classes in horticulture, business and hospitality management. The curriculum prepares students for a variety of career options.
SND: There’s a lot of different aspects to the golf industry--from manufacturing to course design to running a golf course.
VO: Students spend their summers as interns in golf related industries including courses all over the country. It’s the perfect answer for someone who is passionate about golf.
SND: What better office than a golf course.
