Eastern Kentucky University – Master of Science in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management (MSSSEM)
Eastern Kentucky University offers a completely online and a traditional on campus Master of Science degree in Safety, Security and Emergency Management with options and certificate programs in Homeland Security, Fire & Emergency Services, Occupational Safety and School Safety. The 36-hour Master of Science degree is designed to provide graduate students with a broad management-based background in safety, security, workers compensation, emergency management, occupational safety, fire administration, and related topics in addition to the specialized options and certificates in Homeland Security, Fire & Emergency Services, Occupational Safety, Emergency Management and School Safety for more in-depth knowledge in these specialty areas. Five course certificates are offered in the areas of Occupational Safety,Fire and Emergency Services, Homeland Security, Emergency Management and School Safety.
The completely online Master of Science degree is intended for the working professional from a wide variety of related fields including, but not limited to, safety, fire, insurance, risk management, emergency services, and homeland security. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning prior to applying for the program.
