Committees:
Planning/Social Committee had nothing to report. Bob Beil spoke on doing something for Judy Martin for her extra work with the community center. Lisa Placke made a motion to spend up to $100 on a Bengals related gift. The money would come from the event fund. The motion was second by Jesse Smoot. All in favor and the motion passed.
Lisa explained that Judy can no longer send group emails through Google and has started using Google Groups. Lisa explained how Google Groups works and that Judy had put the $60 a year fee on her personal credit card. The PPLA has agreed to pay for the first year and Judy asked if the PPROA would pay for the second year. Moving forward payment would alternate between the PPLA and PPROA. Lisa made the motion to pay the second year and alternate years with the PPLA. It was second by Elaine Krietemeyer. All in favor and the motion passed.
Compliance Committee: Lisa Placke reported on 9-10 completed compliance forms that pertain to trailer park properties. Bob Beil reported on the Hubbard “building permit” or lack thereof and the fine of $100 per month.
Lake Committee: Ron Burgess reported the committee met concerning the windmill on Lake Inverness. They have concerns about the area not generating enough wind, due to trees, to operate the wind mill. Resident, Tom Jenkins, has been in contact with Avor Technologies and they installed a small Mazzei Air Injector on Tom’s end of Inverness Lake to see how well it would work to rid the lake of the algae. The Engineer explained the erosion, lawn run off and run off from the woods and stated the lake needs more aeration. Mr. Yavorsky presented the Board with an information packet about the Mazzei Injector. The approximate cost of the equipment is just over $7000 and we would need to contact Kentucky Utilities about setting a pole for the electric. The motor would need to be rebuild every 3-5 years and the electricity cost approximately .35¢ an hour. The unit would need to run 24/7 for the first few months but the run time could be cut way back after the lake algae becomes more manageable.
Communications Committee: Elaine reported the upcoming elections are going well. Greg Thomes, Jim Baird and Ron Lovell have volunteered for the election committee.
Legal Committee: We received a quote from West Bend Mutual for $480.00 for Director insurance coverage of $1,000,000. Don Brunner made a motion to obtain the coverage through West Bend Mutual with a second by Lisa Placke. All in favor and the motion passed.
Grounds Committee: Bob Beil will be sending out bid request soon for the mowing, snow removal, landscaping, etc.
Oversight Committee: Bob spoke of meeting with the Berlings. He also reported on the upcoming blacktopping projects and a speed bump to be installed where the cone is on Springport Ferry.
Old Business: Website is finished. We discussed votes via email and a letter that was sent to Joe Sucietto.
New Business: Bob Beil brought up the house on Blue Bird were the owner is wanting to sell the lot which contains a shed but not the lot that has the house.
Bob Beill will give Lisa keys to the community center and office to access the supplies for the guard shack.
Elaine Krietemeyer will contact the Attorney concerning the contract between Josh Yates and Carl and Robert Raisor who are purchasing the property. There are questions about what type of contract it is and its legality.
