Patricia Rucker is customer service manager for Entergy Mississippi, Inc. In this position, she serves as co-lead for the Low-Income Initiatives Team, which assists in finding solutions to low-income energy usage.
Patricia participates in community activities including Jackson-Habitat for Humanity and United Way. She received the 2008 Community Service Award and 2009 Partnership Award from the Mississippi Association of Community Action Agency and 2009 Volunteer of the Year Award from Tougaloo College. She is a member of the Madison-Ridgeland Rotary Club where she serves on the board of directors. She serves as president for the Mississippi Chapter of American Association of Blacks in Energy; president for the Mississippi Better Business Bureau; serves on the board of directors for the Madison County Chamber of Commerce; board of directors DREAM, Inc. and Metro Jackson Dress for Success. Patricia also served as the first female African-American president for the Canton Chamber of Commerce; she is a graduate of Mississippi Economic Council Leadership Mississippi and Leadership Madison County.
A native of Tchula, Mississippi, Patricia received a Bachelor in Business Administration from Belhaven College now Belhaven University.
