Our 2008 Spring Meeting of the NEKDA is being held at the
North Conway Grand Hotel in North Conway, New Hampshire on
Tuesday and Wednesday, April 8-9.
Your NEKDA Officers and Board of Directors has put together an excellent meeting program with important and informative topics and opportunities for kiln operators and managers, along with an interesting tour of the Madison Lumber Mill www.madisonlm.com near West Ossipee, NH. The North Conway Grand Hotel is conveniently located just off of Route 16 at Settlers= Green in North Conway, and they have great facilities for our meeting. After our technical sessions you might want to enjoy their fitness center, year-round heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi, or visit the nearby Settlers= Green Outlet Village, New England=s largest tax-free resort outlet, featuring over 60 shops. Please contact them promptly at 800/655-1452 to make your overnight reservations, being sure to note specifically that you are with the NEKDA group. Our NEKDA room block and special rate of $79/night for April 7 and 8 is being held till March 18. Reservations made after that will be on a space-available basis.

Madison Lumber Mill saws and kiln dries high quality NELMA grade white pine. The tour of their manufacturing operation will include their sawmill, dry kilns, wood-fired boiler, bin sorter and planer facilities. Check them out at www.madisonlm.com . Tour participants are to bring their own hardhats and safety glasses and wear appropriate footwear. To get to the mill take either State Rte. 25 or 16 to West Ossipee, New Hampshire. Just north of the light at the intersection turn to the east onto Rte. 41 North. Continue for about a mile to the mill which is on the right.
