4. Find the link for “word games” and click it

6. Wait patiently. Do not click again for 5 seconds.

7. Now click on “click here to continue” in the green box

To play, click on three letters that make a word.

For example: P E T

Double click on the last letter of the three and the tiles will disappear.

* If you can’t make ANY words, click on the worm to shuffle the letters.

3. Scroll down and click on “Animals, Food & Drinks #3”

4. Wait for the activity to load.

5. The page might look like this.

6. Click on the red square and type in the vocabulary words.

7. Try to fill in the crossword puzzle.

§ When you are done, click the BACK ^ button on your toolbar and go back to the list of puzzles.

§ Choose another puzzle in the LEFT column to try.

Internet Game: Matching Words

Steps

1. Open Internet Explorer

2. Type in the URL.

3. Click Free Games on the left category, then click MATCHING WORDS. It’s the fourth yellow box.

4. The purpose of this game is to find the matching pairs of cards. You can match words with opposite meaning, the same meaning, the same phrasal meaning (two or more words).

5. For example, if you click the right phrasal verbs and verb as below, the two cards will disappear automatically.

6. The cards stay in the same place, so try to remember each card, and match them all by choosing the correct cards.

7. When you are done, you can click Next Game to advanced level, or go back to choose other topics.

Steps

1. Open Internet Explorer

2. Type in the URL:

3. Scroll down and click on Frog Verbs

4. Click on the correct PAST TENSE verb to get the frog to safety.

5. When you complete the first set, click NEXT to continue.

6. When you complete the second set, click CLOSE

7. If you like this, then click on Frog Verbs II for some more.

8. If you don’t like this….click on a different game to try.

Internet Game: Fun Match

Steps

1. Open Internet Explorer

2. Type in the URL.

3. The purpose of this game is to find the matching pairs of cards. Choose any theme.

4. After choosing the theme, choose the difficulty level. It simply means how many cards you want.

When you choose the theme and difficulty, do not click the phrase. Instead, you should click the circle on the left of the words.

5. Click START GAME!

6. Then, you will see the similar screen as below. It may be different depending on the theme you choose.

7. Choose any picture by clicking the box. When you click the box on the left of the picture, you will see this mark “√” in the box.

8. Then, clicks “GO!”

9. If you could not match the correct two cards, click Pick Again. If you matched the correct two cards, it will automatically disappear after you clicked Pick Again as the picture below.

10. The cards stay in the same place, so try to remember each card, and match them all by choosing the same pictures.

11. Repeat “choosing two cards-> Go! -> Pick Again” until all cards disappear!

Internet Games: Hangman

Steps

1. Open Internet Explorer

2. Type in the URL:

3. Find “Vegetables” in the “For ESL Students” Group

4. Choose a letter (any letter)

o If it is in the word, it will show up

o If it is NOT in the word, it will begin to draw a person being hanged (ouch!)

5. Continue guessing letters until you figure out the word or the person is hanged!

6. After you finish one word, click on NEXT (under the person) to go to the next word.

7. Complete at least 10 words.

8. After you are finished, if you have more time, go back and choose one of the “not so easy” hangman games!

Internet Games: Jigzone

Steps

1. Open Internet Explorer

2. Type in the URL:

3. HOVER over a picture in the top row of pictures. Scroll down to “20 piece traditional” and click

4. Move the pieces by pushing down on your mouse button and “pushing” the pieces around until they hook up!

5. When you have finished your puzzle, scroll down to “puzzle gallery” and choose a category (like “nature scenes” or “sports”)

6. Then pick a group of pictures and click on the stack. Then click on one picture.

7. To change the size or number of the puzzle pieces, use ‘change cut’ on the left.

8. Click on a letter and then click on the place it SHOULD go. For example, in the above picture, I would click on G and then on F (to move G to where F is)

9. Do this for each letter BEFORE the words drops too far.

10. Complete at least 10 words.

11. After you are finished, if you have more time, go back and choose another category.
