Somerset and Avon Rape and Sexual Abuse Support (SARSAS)is in its second year of developing services for women and girls with learning disabilitieswho have experienced sexual violence, at any point in their lives. We are seeking to recruit a part timespecialist service development workerto produce vital resources and effect positive outcomes for women in Bristol and surrounding areas.

The post holder will be based in our Bristol hub and work alongside an advisory and steering group, the SARSAS team and another part time specialist support worker for women with learning disabilities who will be leading on service user support and engagement and the development of a front line tool kit.

We work openly and professionally with our partner agencies to enable women to be more empowered, more resilient, more informed and improve their health and wellbeing. This post will hold only a small caseload so they can take the lead on the development of relevant resources and information for people with learning disabilities, their supporters and professionals.

This will include delivering workshops, attending events and promotional work within a multi-agency remit.

We are looking for an individual who enjoys development work and can effectively promote the rights of all survivors of any kind of sexual violence through trauma informed therapeutic services, liaison, advocacy and care co-ordination.
