SITE: Currituck County Middle School
REPORTS TO: Principal
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:
· Must hold or be eligible to hold appropriate NC Licensure from the NC Department of Public Instruction
· Commitment to high achievement for all students
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Positive role model both professionally and personally
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Remainder of 2016-17 School Year
SALARY: Per NC State Salary Schedule plus local supplement
STARTING DATE: October 2016
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBLITIES:
The Teacher will:
· Adhere to ethical standards of the teaching profession, abide by laws, policies and procedures that govern the schools
· Must be deemed “Highly Qualified” to teach in certification area in accordance with the federal “No Child Left Behind Act”
§ Prepare lessons and provide learning opportunities in accordance to the academic level needed to reach all children in a classroom setting
§ Maintain classroom surroundings in order to enhance the learning environment
