Our Practice Nurse, Sue Barnes holds a Travel Clinic on Tuesday for advice on healthy travelling, malaria prevention and travel vaccinations. Some vaccinations need to be given well in advance of travelling, so please check your requirements as early as possible by contacting us

6-8 weeks before your departure.

Some vaccinations and prescriptions are not available under the NHS and charges will apply. An indication of some of our charges is given in the centre pages of this leaflet. Please ask if your requirement is not listed. The Receptionists and Secretaries have no authority to waive or vary any of these charges.

A complete course for each vaccine is payable in full at the time of the first appointment with the nurse. Payment may be made in cash, by cheque, debit or credit card.Please note that a 2% surcharge charge will be applied to all credit card transactions.

Due to the time necessary for each appointment it is only possible for us to offer travel advice and vaccinations during our Travel Clinic.

Travel vaccination fees for NHS patients registered with the Church Street Practice

In certain circumstances vaccinations requested by patients for the purpose of travel are not available on the NHS. In this instance the following charges will apply.

Please note that our fee for malaria advice covers the administration costs involved in completing the private prescription and is payable at the time of request, if you then decide not to collect or use the prescription the fee will still apply.

Vaccinations against Hepatitis A, typhoid, combined polio/tetanus/diphtheria, combined hepatitis A & B and combined hepatitis A typhoid are currently provided free of charge to NHS patients registered with the Church Street Practice. As we dispense these vaccines you are NOT required to pay a prescription charge.

Certain vaccines are available on a private prescription on a named patient basisonly and you will need to pay the chemist directly for the cost of this vaccine. Such vaccines will also incur a further cost to each patient for the vaccine to be administered.
