Have you heard?

Fulton County Special Olympics traveled to Columbus at the end of June to compete in the 50th annual Special Olympics Ohio State Summer Games. The volleyball team consisting of Phil Bartus, Ben Clausen, Brad Damman, Nick Denn, Austin Double, Amber Pursel, Keerston Volkman, Nick Weigand, and Roger Wolfram received the first place trophy and were crowned the State Champions!

The track team won a variety of medals and ribbons. Mary Delphous placed 1st in the 50M run, Aric Gurzynski placed 2nd in his 100M run, Dillon Hayward received a gold medal for 1st place in the Mini Javelin, 1st time Summer Games athlete Braydon Ringle received gold in the 100M run, Jason Pfund places silver in the 200M run, and Kristina Ellis-Smith, Hannah Shotwell, and Shawn Summers all received awards to add to the group as well.

The Jaguars were coached by Taylor, Zach, and Carolee Hartman, Celia and Nick Wilson, Lynlee Reinking, Marissa Campos, Tanja Ringle, and Teri VanSickle.

Parades!

It’s that time again! Parade season is here! We will participating in the Delta Chicken Festival Parade Sunday July 15th, along with the Wauseon Homecoming Parade Saturday July 28th! Details regarding both will be handed out the week before each parade.

Extras for Sale!

We have LOTS of apparel still for sale! Tshirts, glitter tshirts, long sleeve dry-fit, and ¾ sleeve baseball tees are all in abundance! We have VERY limited amounts of pullover jackets, windbreakers, women’s shorts, and duffle bags as well! Contact Celia ASAP to get yours today!

Mud Hens Outing

We still have five tickets for the Mud Hens game on Tuesday July 17th! The bus will be leaving TP at approximately 10:00am. (Details will be handed out later this week) If you would like to reserve a spot get your $10 to Celia ASAP!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

The 3rd annual Delta Eagles fundraiser date has been set! This year the event will be held on Saturday September 8th, so mark your calendars! We are beginning to accept donations! If you sell makeup, clothes, make items, want to donate a gift certificate- have a large or small donation: please consider donating it!.Contact Celia if you would like to donate something.

FCSO is headed to the farm! Our ‘On the Farm’ fundraiser is August 18th! Come out to enjoy a free-will donation breakfast, feed the animals, and many activities! Fun for all!

For both events we need lots of volunteers to sign up to help! Various duties are available! Please contact Celia if you will be able to help!

Holgate Cheer Competition

The annual Holgate cheer competition date is Saturday August 18th at 4:00pm. We need extra bodies to help our team succeed and cheer LOUD! No previous cheer experience is necessary. We need YOU to help cheer, and provide mentor ship to our athletes! This is a great way to get community service make one of a kind relationships, and HAVE FUN!You can find practice and all info at TP’s website under ‘Special Olympics’.
