Brian Realbuto (Sommers HS, Section I) won the 2011 Junior Freestyle National championships at this year’s USAW Cadet and Junior Nationals, which took place onJuly 16-23, 2011 in Fargo, ND. Realbuto was the first Junior National Champion from NY since2004, when Troy Nickerson won double national titles in Freestyle and Greco, and Dan Bishop,Joe Whitakerand Mike Roberts took home gold medals in Greco. Austin Meys won the Freestyle Cadet National Championships in 2007. Inthe women’s division, RosemaryFlores (Section 12 and Beat the Streets) won double titles at the Cadet and Junior Nationals at 124 and 125lbs, respectively.
