CURLING IN 2010
You will be glad to know that I am curling again and getting right down on the ice with my slide. But my ankle is still stiff and I feel it after walking.
There are three fixtures again in 2010.
The Highland and Lowlands Brigades Curling Club has a match of two (and perhaps three) rinks against the New Club in Kinross on Thursday 11th February. We require two or three curlers. Lunch at the Green Hotel; 12.30 for 1.00pm and curling at Kinross Ice Rink at 2.30pm. There will be a charge of £10 per person.
The Match against the Royal Company of Archers will be played at Kinross on Thursday 18th March, 12.30pm for lunch at 1.00pm and curling at 2.30pm. There will be four rinks. We require a rink of four. There will be a charge of £10 per person. Alasdair MacDonald, asks that those available who are Archers, should play for the Archers.
The Regimental Bonspiel will be played at the Dewars Rinks, Perth on Thursday 24th March, starting at 10.15am with three rounds of 6 ends and time for lunch and the Curling Club AGM. There will be a charge for the ice but lunch is paid for by the Club. It would be good to field three rinks again, plus one for the President’s Rink. Last year we only managed two rinks.
