Lessons Summary

Braem Al Islam Class: Boys and Girls (5-7 years)

**Arabic Session:

  • The teacher started as usual with a revision of already taught letters.
  • The alphabet letters that have been taken so far are:

ث,ب, ت,خ,ج,د,ذ,م , ر,ز,ص,س

  • The teacher introduced a new alphabet letter (س)and the teachers also gave examples of wordsthat contain the letter س
  • Children were busy making the new letter with play dough to learn to write them.

**Qur’an:

  • The children with Ansa Heba were working on Surah Al-Dohaالضحى
  • The children with Ansa Cherine and Ansa Shifaa were working on all Surahs that they have already known.
  • The group with Ansa Mouna started memorising the first 4 Ayahs of Surat Al-Doha.

**Islamic Studies

  • The teachers continued the talk about Salat (صلاة). This time the teachers revised the different positions in each Rakaa and talked to the children about the number of Rakaas in each Salat ;,( Fajr: 2, Thuhur: 4, Asr: 4, Maghreb: 3 and Ishaa:4).

**Activities:

  • The children were practising the Nasheed about the prophet Mohammad, (Mohammad Nabeena) describing his characteristics.
  • They have started to do the expressions with the song which was really lovely.

**Weekly tasks for parents:

  • It is very important for the children to write and practise the Arabic alphabet letters that they have already learnt and try to highlight them when they read Qur’an.
  • It is required to fill in the Qur'an chart provided by the teacher and mark each every day thatyou read Qur'an with your child for 10 minutes+.
  • Children now know the positions in each Rakaa so please encourage them to practise Salat with you so they can enhance their Salat performance.
  • For those studentswhose tongue is not Arabic, I recommended that you download the Ayat ( آيات) App or ‘The Quran House’ِapp if you want your children to enhance their Quran reading with Tajweed.

Note to parents:

Ahebaa Allah Class: Girls (10-14 years)

**Qur'an:

  • Ansa Zainab added 4new ayahs from Surat Al – Nazeat(النازعات)last Friday. The girls read through all 14ayahs taken so far.
  • Girls have to practise these Ayahs with Tajweed at home every day for at least 10 minutes+.

**Feqh

  • Ansa Zainab carried on talking about the third pillar of the Pillars of Faith which is the Belief in Allah’s Holy Books. What they are, on whom they were sent and why do we have to believe in them.
  • The differences between the Holy Qur’an and the other Holy books were told.

**Stars in the Prophet’s Orbit:

  • On Friday, we carried on the first lesson of the book and it was about Lady Khadijah may Allah be pleased with her; as a business woman, wife, and mother and as a believer.
  • Ansa Mouna and Ansa Zainab explained in details about the lady Khadijah; her character, morality, family and all the main events in her life with Prophet Mohammad
  • Her family, the children that she had from the Prophet Mohammad and other people were living at her home.
  • They spoke about the support and help that she offered to the prophet.

**Weekly tasks for parents:

  • Please encourage your child to truthfully fill in the weekly task in the sketch pad provided. Please ask your kids to keep their sketch pads clean and tidy and not to use it for something else.
  • Work with them on memorising the first 14 Ayahs of Surat Al-Nazeaat with Tajweed.
  • Emphasize on the Islamic Aqidah in believing and worshiping only one God, Allah. Also to believe in all what Allah has asked us to believe in order to complete our Iman (Belief). I recommended that the girls have to read more about the Holy books from the trustful website and other resources. We want them to start to think and study in more academic way.
  • Girls from now ave to read another new chapter from the book “STARS IN THE PROPHET’S ORBIT” one page/ day so they can be ready for the discussion on Friday the 13th Feb/2015.
  • For those studentswhose tongue is not Arabic, I recommended that you download the Ayat ( آيات) App or The Quran HouseِApp if you want your children to enhance their Quran reading with Tajweed.

Younger Girls : (7-9)

**Quran

  • Ansa Faida carried on the Surah البينّة(Al- Bayenna) on Friday and read through all the Surah.She worked with them on memorising the first 6 Ayahs.
  • Girls have to practise these Ayahs with Tajweed at home every day for at least 10mins to memorise the Surah.

**Feqh

  • Ansa Faidarevised and went through the second pillar of Pillars of Faith which is the Belief in Angels. She gave an introduction to the belief in Allah’s Holy Books.
  • A detailed explanation will be given on the coming Friday.

**The Prophet Syrah:

  • Ansa Faida last time talked about the announcing Religion of Islam and how the people who converted to Islam suffered and had been tortured by people of Qurayesh, how people of Medina came to offer the support and protection to the Prophet Mohammad and asked him to migrate to Medina.
  • The next step we will talk about theProphet Mohammad Migration to Medina to establish the new Islamic Civil State.

**Activities:

  • The Girls have been busy practising the song وصف النبي المصطفى)). The girls actually are doing well and they enjoyed the drama.

  • Please encourage your daughter to truthfully fill in the weekly task in the sketch pad provided. Please ask your kids to keep their sketch pads clean and tidy and don’t use it for something else
  • Work with them on memorising the first 6 Ayahs of the Surah Al-Bayenna with Tajweed.
  • Emphasize on the Islamic Aqidah in believing and worshiping only one God, Allah. Also to believe in all what Allah has asked us to believe in to complete our Iman(Belief)
  • Encourage them to show their belief by improving their behaviour and doing more of good deeds.
  • We have given the girlsa question: do babies see the Angels? We passed the question to all the girls to search and find out about the answer. Unfortunately, none of them has brought the homework. Could you please make sure that they do their homework regularly.

Note:

Please provide your girls with headscarves in each session, as we encourage them to wear them during Qur’an session.

Also, please make sure that your daughter has her copy of Noble Qur’an or the part number 30 Amma

Fetyan Al-Islam: Boys (8-11)

Qur'an:

  • Ansa Asmaa added a new 5 Ayahs from Surah النازعات(Al- Nazeat) this Friday. The boys read through the all 15Ayahs.
  • Boys have to practise these Ayahs with Tajweed at home every day for at least 10mins.

**Feqh

  • Ansa Asmaa carried on talking about the third pillar of the Pillars of Faith which is the Belief in Allah’s Holy Books. What they are, on whom they were sent and why do we have to believe in them.
