Instructions for station 4: You will have 10 minutes at this station so DO NOT waste time.

You are going to color an animal cell at this station.

  1. Take ONE animal cell sheet. You are going to color this cell. Use the example to refer to when you are coloring it.
  2. Once you have finished coloring the cell, you will cut it out and paste it on the LEFT side of your notebook.
  3. After the cell is pasted in your notebook you need to label the organelles. (Look at the example to help you with this.)
  4. At the top of your page, title it ANIMAL CELL (Eukaryotic cell #1).

Instructions for station 3: You will have 10 minutes at this station so DO NOT waste time.

You are going to color a plant cell at this station.

  1. Take ONE plant cell sheet. You are going to color this cell. Use the example to refer to when you are coloring it.
  2. Once you have finished coloring the cell, you will cut it out and paste it on the RIGHT side of your notebook.
  3. After the cell is pasted in your notebook you need to label the organelles. (Look at the examples to help you with this).
  4. At the top of your page, title it PLANT CELL (Eukaryotic cell #2).

Instructions for station 2: You will have 10 minutes at this station so DO NOT waste time.

You are going to color a prokaryotic (bacteria) cell at this station.

  1. Take ONE bacteria cell sheet. You are going to color this cell. Use the example to refer to when you are coloring it.
  2. Once you have finished coloring the cell, you will cut it out and paste it on the LEFT side of your notebook.
  3. After the cell is pasted in your notebook you need to label the organelles. (Look at the examples to help you with this).
  4. At the top of your page, title it BACTERIA CELL (Prokaryotic cell).
  5. You will then read about the prokaryotic cell and answer the questions about it under the figure in your notebook.

Instructions for station 5: You will have 10 minutes at this station so DO NOT waste your time.

You will be comparing and contrasting a plant and animal cell.

  1. Create a Venn diagram on the RIGHT side of your notebook. (Turn your notebook sideways and use the lid to create the diagram)
  2. The LEFT circle label it PLANT CELL. The RIGHT circle label it ANIMAL CELL. The middle label it BOTH.
  3. Next, take a look at the plant and animal cell diagram. With your partner write down as many differences and similarities that you can. You should have at least 3 things in each circle. Pay close attention to the shape of the cells, the organelles of the cells, and how they are grouped together.

Instructions for station 1: You will have 10 minutes at this station so DO NOT waste your time.

You will be taking notes on Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells based on a video.

  1. You need to create a Venn Diagram in your notebooks on the LEFT side of your notebook.
  2. Label the RIGHT side of the diagram Prokaryotic cells. Label the LEFT side of the diagram Eukaryotic cells. Label the MIDDLE both.
  3. You will then watch the video on prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells. Write down any important information about each in the diagram.

Instructions for station 6: You will have 10 minutes at this station so DO NOT waste your time.

You will be looking at different types of cells. You will be deciding if they would be considered multicellular or unicellular.

  1. You need to create a T-chart in your notebook on the RIGHT side of your notebook.
  2. You will take a look at the readings on Multicellular and Unicellular. Take notes on each and write down all important information in the T-Chart.
  3. On that same page, you need to draw and color the examples of unicellular and multicellular cells. Be sure to label what the cells are under each picture.
