Peace and Religious tolerance is a pre-condition for sustainable development. But in numerous countries, conflicts between ethnies and religions are threatening this fundament.
The Konrad - Adenauer -Stiftungis giving worldwide support not only of fostering democratic systems and the rule of law, but also for structures strengthening tolerance and social peace.
Besides theoretical background and presentation of actual trends, the workshop will work out steps how young leaders can prove for more acceptance and tolerance for different religions and cultures within their own environment, andhow allies may be found.
The methods applied in this workshop are oriented on participating strategies and completed by practical work in small groups, to optimize the learning effects. Meetings and discussions with representatives of political institutions, and visits of historical sites to make recent German history understandable will complete the seminar.What matters most, is to make understandable that leadership is meaning to serve and to assume responsibility.
A selection of young, qualified and motivated candidates is a guarantee for the sustainability of the workshop. It is forming part of the projects in their respective countries, and, as in the past, it will achieve a remarkable multiplication effect.
