World’s Finest Automotive Bra Installation Instructions – Corvette C4(EARLY)1984-1990

Parts Included - Two (2) Universal-sided FasTrak Brackets

Required Tools – ¼” ratchet, Torx T-30 bit

Required Cleaning Supplies – wax/polish, vinyl dressing, clean rags

Pre Installation

1)Carefully read and follow instructions to ensure optimal performance

2)Thoroughly wash & wax vehicle surfaces including inside wheel wells and under front bumper, to prevent entrapment of moisture and/or debris between paint finish and SpeedLingerieTM.

3)Place unfolded SpeedLingerieTM in direct sunlight, or near (but not in direct contact with) any radiant heat source for 20-30 minutes to warm-up the SpeedLingerieTM. Park the car in direct sunlight to warm-up the front-end surface. NOTE! Warming the SpeedLingerieTM and the vehicle front-end will make the SpeedLingerieTM more flexible and easier to install.

4)Orient yourself with SpeedLingerieTM. Notice placement correlation of mesh and grills.

5)For easier access to wheel well area, turn the steering wheel to the passenger side.

FasTrak Bracket Installation

1)Note: At the driver side, there are 4 screws that hold the wheel well liner to the fender.

2)Loosen each screw 5-7 turns counterclockwise. Do not fully extract screws.

3)Remove any protective film from a bracket.

4)Orient the bracket with the straight-edge inward (slots facing outward), and the tab-end down.

5)Slide the FasTrakTMbracket between the wheel well surface and screws.

6)Securely fasten the screws.

7)At the passenger side, repeat steps #1-6

SpeedLingerieTM Nose Cover Installation

1)Open the hood.

2)Face the front of the vehicle. Hold the properly oriented SpeedLingerieTM outstretched in front of you.

3)At the passenger side, run your thumb through the bottom portion of side fastener, the QuiKlipTM, to “open it up” slightly. This will help you to clip theQuiKlipTM fastener onto the FasTrakTM Bracket edge. NOTE! Enfold (using a key or credit card or business card) the 5-inch quick release strap within the molded fastener. This ensures easy removal of SpeedLingerieTM. Do not pull on this strap during installation.

4)Clip the lower portion of the QuiKlipTM fastener onto the FasTrak Bracket edge. Do not yet attach the top section of the QuiKlipTM on to the FasTrakTM Bracket.

5)NOTE! Due to the perfectly tailored fit of SpeedLingerieTM, step#6 takes careful effort. Acquire assistance, to provide “slack” from the front-end midpoint. Do not pull on the molded fastener/stitching itself. Do not pull from the top edge. Installation becomes easier with repeated use.

6)Working from the passenger side, come across the front end (the fascia) and carefully but firmly stretch the SpeedLingerieTM towards the driver side. Gather 6-8” of material at the molded fastener strip in your hands, and carefully but firmly pull from the side at the midpoint and the lower corner (spoiler level). Repeat step#4 to clip the fastener on the driver side.

7)Pull-up the top edge of the SpeedLingerieTM slightly, and slip the plastic tabs down into the gap between the hood and the front end. The seam at the top rear edge of the fascia should be just ‘over’ the top rear edge of the fascia. Tuck the plastic tabs under the rear bottom edge of the fascia.

Close the Hood

1)Lower the hood.

2)Adjust the SpeedLingerieTM on both the passenger and driver sides, so the side edges are not pinched under the hood.

3)Press the hood closed on both the passenger and the driver side.

4)Attach the top 2” of the side QuiKlipTM on both the passenger and driver side.

C4 Mirror Cover Installation

Re-verify your Corvette C4 is equipped WITH or WITHOUT “wind deflector wings” on the mirror heads.

1)GM offered a wind deflector wing or “wing” on the mirror heads for the Corvette C4. This wing is also available as an aftermarket product.

2)The wing is attached to the mirror head. It fills the space between the mirror head and the window. It re-directs air flow over the mirror head, not into the driver’s face.

3)Most C4 Corvettes were built without wind deflector wings.

4)SpeedLingerie offers two different Mirror Cover patterns. The standard pattern fits mirror heads WITHOUT wings. The second pattern fits mirror heads WITH wings.

5)The SpeedLingerie pattern for mirrors WITH wings, features additional material to cover the wing.

Mirror Cover Installation

1)Lower/open the windows.

2)Start on the passenger side. NOTE!One Cover fits the driver side. One Cover fits the pass side.

3)Hold one of the Covers near the pass side mirror, oriented as if you would install it. If it does not look like it is oriented correctly, check out the other mirror cover.

4)The Mirror Cover has two openings. One opening is for the face of the mirror head. The second opening is for the neck of the mirror head where it attaches to the door.

5)Stretch the tension cord, and through the opening for the neck, slip the mirror cover over the mirror head. Slip the cover over the mirror face first, and then over the leading point of the mirror head. NOTE!Support the mirror head properly while you are installing/forming the mirror cover.

6)Form the Cover into place with your hands. NOTE! If you are not sure if you have the correct Mirror Cover on the correct side, refer to step#3.

7)Attach the hook and loop Velcro tabs at the neck of the mirror.

8)Continue working the mirror cover into place (like molding clay) with your hands. Adjust the material around the face of the mirror, so that the edges of the material surround the mirror face evenly. NOTE! Enjoy the opportunity to work with your car and take your time.

9)Repeat steps #4-8 to install the driver side Mirror Cover.

Final Adjustment

1)Adjust SpeedLingerieTM where necessary, to assure proper fit.

2)For full effect of SpeedLingerieTM design and glove-like fit, allow 72 hours for material(s) to relax and conform to vehicle’s curves.

3)Park in a warm sunny spot with SpeedLingerieTMinstalled for a few days, to help the forming process.

4)Apply a quality vinyl conditioner to the SpeedLingerieTM if you so desire.

Removal Process

1)To remove the Nose Cover and/or Mirror Covers, reverse the installation process.

2)To raise/close the hood, unclip the two 2” top sections of side fastener and flip the Nose Cover outward/downward.

Care & Maintenance

1)For best results, be sure that all vehicle surfaces are clean and dry and waxed before installing SpeedLingerieTM.

2)Always inspect SpeedLingerieTM fasteners & surfaces that contact vehicle for possible debris, sand, grit, etc...and remove before installation.

3)Periodically remove SpeedLingerieTM to allow complete aeration of vehicle paint finish and SpeedLingerieTM materials.

4)Remove SpeedLingerieTM before washing vehicle.

5)Remove SpeedLingerieTM after exposure to rain or other moisture/fluids.

6)Clean outer vinyl surfaces of SpeedLingerieTM with a high quality vinyl conditioner during routine car maintenance.

7)Clean felt inner surface with water if necessary, allowing it to dry completely, and brush/vacuum out any remaining particles.

8)To avoid staining or discoloration of SpeedLingerieTM, DO NOT store in direct contact with rubber products (eg. tires, hoses, mats). Vinyl is a porous material that will absorb the black carbon contained with in rubber and result in a stain on the vinyl.
