World Peace: The Final Chapter

By Brooks Agnew

World peace has been cited by pageant misses as their life’s work for more than a century. It is the stuff of happily ever fairy tales and Mendala shifting Disney movies. Guard dropping press releases misled Neville Chamberlain and countless other kings to their demise by the countersigning party in power. But is it really a myth? Besides the global round 3 floating round the ring we witness on the national news 24 hours a day, there have been great and clear visions of peace for all mankind.

I have been a pacifist pioneer for world peace since the summer of my ninth year on this planet. I have learned about many global strategies. Peace through strength is the most tried and untrue. Whether it was the Roman or the British empires, the story was nearly identical. Conquer the world and then rule through the threat of superior firepower. It doesn’t work for mankind. Usually in the time it takes for a knife to slip between the ribs of the supreme ruler, the entire things shatters as oligarchs scramble to gather the shards into their private vaults. It is the ultimate game of ruling by the sword.

It has been this way since the first society. Gangs became nations. Warlords became kings. For thousands of years, world peace was achieved through victory by the club, and then the sword, and then the gun, and then the cannon.

Once the weapons of war became nuclear, and some nation was insane enough to actually use one or two against other human beings, the possibility of ruining the whole world for everyone became a sort of imaginary deterrent. Nations developed a new strategy for world peace; peace through mutually assured destruction. Two nations, and then three, and now nine nations— the United States, Russia, United Kingdom, France, China, India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea — possess approximately 16,300 nuclear weapons to defend themselves. It is enough to kill every living thing on Earth five times over.

While you and I were going to school, learning our profession, raising our children and eating popcorn at the high school football game, 20 kings, not including North Korea or Pakistan, were meeting in secret and carving up the gross domestic product of Earth with one hand while their other hand was in their pocket on the remote control of their nuclear arsenal. In fact, they are meeting this week to do that very thing. And they all fear that very soon, there will be ten nations with the ability to ruin the world for everyone. And the tenth king is one of the wealthiest and most ruthless killers the world has ever known. And the death of the world is not a deterrent to him.

So what about world peace? Is it possible? How is it possible?

Countless religious traditions have a legend of a godly king coming, or in some cases returning, to Earth to rule with an unconquerable hand of righteousness. No weapons can harm him. No bullets can find him. He has no lust, no guile, and no greed in his heart, but he has told us many times he is intensely jealous of other gods. In fact, the first of the great ten commandments are to have no other gods before him. He will never grow old and be replaced by a tyrannical son. He will never have a power-hungry, mind gaming wife that embroils him in one scandal after another. He will make sure the rich give up all their wealth and make sure all the poor will be given mansions and servants and cupboards full of every needful thing. He will take up his friends in his bosom while burning his enemies like stubble, letting the vultures pick their flesh from the bones left bleaching in the sun. Peace shall come through this divine king, because all individual free will, shall be subordinated to the will of the king.

There have been other visions of peace. Some have been visions of a post-apocalyptic desert world where the survivors fight over gasoline or drinking water. This depiction is supposed to provide us such a gruesome existence between birth on the run, radiation poisoning, and starvation that we hope no one pushes that button. Privately, we know that kings often believe they can protect themselves and their lovely donor friends deep underground with a lifetime supply of virgins and perfectly aged wine. They feel the world has too many people cluttering up their view of sugar white sandy beaches and clean gurgling mountain trout streams. They see the impossible task of feeding everyone. They see the oceans teaming with fishing vessels and not so much with fish. They see millions of tractors rolling over billions of acres in a shortcoming that threatens to starve the human race like rats in an overpopulated sewer. They actually believe that with the push of a button, they can give their loyal followers a new, wide open wilderness world devoid of unbelievers. Why travel through space to a new planet, when they have the power to make a new frontier right here on this one?

Some of those visions have been of a world without nations, tribes, or racial identities. Mankind explores space and the depths of the oceans for knowledge. Endless, free energy is available to everyone along with the ability to manipulate energy into matter, so that wealth and starvation extremes become meaningless. Somehow, the instinct to mate and reproduce uncontrollably is overcome. Somehow, the two or three percent of the population that find it impossible to live in peace in a society are not born any more. The rapists, murderers, thieves, cheats, liars, and especially the politicians are written out of the human race. It becomes a world that functions by way of merits and the entire alchemical system of money disappears from the human condition.

One thing I can tell you objectively. We are no longer paging through the book of possibilities. We have come to one of two final chapters in the world peace story. We don’t get both chapters. We get one.

One chapter tells the story of redemption of the Republic. It restores the balance between the three branches of government. The Supreme Court ceases to be a law writing body and returns to it constitutional role as a comparator of law with the constitution. The justices are already proven judges with long histories of judgments from which their character can be determined. The agencies, departments, bureaus, and administrations lose their ability to tax, fine, and to write laws. In this chapter, Congressional dynasties are ended by providing a maximum length of service of 12 years to congressmen and 18 years to senators. In this chapter, ownership of State lands is returned to them and the federal government is forbidden from encumbering these lands in any way.

National monuments become a joint venture between the central and state governments. In this chapter, the budget requirements of the federal government are vastly reduced, and the States, private companies and the people are permitted to keep much more of the money they earn and regulations forbidding financial services to them are repealed. World commerce begins to flow again, as the global wealth now scavenged and hoarded by a few central powers is put back into the stream, and the eggs of the future are again laid by millions of creators of hundreds of millions of jobs. In this chapter, world peace is formed by removing the barriers of communication, reasoning, and cooperation between all peoples.

In the other chapter, global power is collected into the hands of a few. Borders are redrawn according to oligarchic possessions as warlords and alchemical sorcerers conjure their control over the planet, the people, and all of its resources. Their power is preserved through banking takeovers, the creation of a new amoebic currency, and a global campaign of presidential assassinations. They harvest stem cells from aborted fetuses and inject them into their faces and the marrow of their bones. They pay destitute mothers to tap into the blood of their infant children to transfuse into their own veins to replenish their health and vigor.

They know it is not enough just to win. All others must lose. World peace in this chapter is an ancient design of tyrannical oppression that provides food, clothing, a basic place to live, and lifelong employment to the people, while denying them access or the ability to share dissenting ideas. In this version of world peace, there are no more elections. There are appointments. There are executions when necessary. Punishments are swift and public. Rewards are secret and conditional. Their oath and covenant will be made by every living soul, and the right to revolt or protest will be forbidden by law.

The chapter that completes this book of history will be chosen in November. One candidate will restore the central government’s adherence to the constitution and free the people to pursue their own happiness. The other candidate will write a new constitution, providing unlimited and unchallenged authority over the lives of the people and the governing of the States. The choice is yours. My hope is that you will choose the kind of world peace that made America the greatest concept in world history. It can be that great experiment again. I pray we make it so.

If the Russians Didn’t do it, Who Did?

Vladimir Putin said the hacking of thousands of Democratic National Committee emails and documents was a service to the public, but denied U.S. accusations that Russia's government had anything to do with it.

"Listen, does it even matter who hacked this data?'' Putin said in an interview at the Pacific port city of Vladivostok on Thursday. "The important thing is the content that was given to the public.''

U.S. officials blame hackers guided by the Russian government for the attacks on DNC servers earlier this year that resulted in WikiLeaks publishing about 20,000 private emails just before Hillary Clinton's nominating convention in July. The documents showed attempts by party officials to undermine her chief Democratic rival, Bernie Sanders, and led to the resignation of the head of the DNC, Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida.

Putin, in power since 2000 and facing re-election in 18 months, has had an acrimonious relationship with Clinton since her failed attempt to "reset" relations as secretary of state in 2009. Putin in 2011 blamed her personally for stoking the biggest protests of his rule by sending an activation "signal" to "some actors" inside Russia. Clinton has compared his annexation of Crimea in 2014 to actions taken by Adolf Hitler before World War II.

"There's no need to distract the public's attention from the essence of the problem by raising some minor issues connected with the search for who did it," Putin said of the DNC breach. "But I want to tell you again, I don't know anything about it, and on a state level Russia has never done this."

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has high confidence that the government in Moscow was behind the theft at the DNC and other Democratic Party organizations seeking to propel Clinton to victory over Republican Donald Trump in November, a person familiar with the findings has said. Trump has praised Putin as a great leader and the billionaire's former campaign chairman spent years working for the Kremlin ally who was ousted from Ukraine's presidency in 2014.

In a two-hour conversation near Russia's eastern fringe, Putin touched on subjects ranging from the war in Syria to oil prices and trade with China. It came just two days before Putin, Barack Obama and other world leaders gather at a Group of 20 meeting in Hangzhou.

An internal DNC probe by CrowdStrike Inc., a cybersecurity company, traced the DNC break-in to two groups it says are linked to Russian intelligence services. One, Cozy Bear, it says is affiliated with the Federal Security Service, the main successor to the KGB, while the other, Fancy Bear, it says is tied to the Main Intelligence Directorate, a branch of the Defense Ministry.

James Lewis, a cybersecurity expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, said Russia's "track record" of state hacking goes back at least a decade, so Putin's denials aren't credible.

"Nice try, but no goal," Lewis said.

The digital net cast by the hackers has widened almost weekly -- security experts say it now includes congressional staffers, NATO generals, Washington think tanks and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee -- adding another unpredictable element to a highly unusual election. The subsequent leaks have included the mobile number of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who said she was barraged with "obscene" calls within hours.

Bernie Burned

Putin also took a dig at the U.S. campaign and what he saw as an obvious party bias in favor of Clinton, saying he "couldn't imagine" that the information leaked from the DNC would be newsworthy for "American society -- specifically that the campaign headquarters worked in the interest of one of the candidates, in this case Mrs. Clinton, rather than equally for all of the Democratic party candidates. "

Alexander Gostev, the chief expert at Kaspersky Lab, a Moscow-based software security firm, said of all the Russian-speaking hacking groups targeting governments, Fancy Bear "is the most notable."

Malware linked to Fancy Bear was widely detected in Ukrainian government computers during the elections that were held after the country's Kremlin-backed leader, Viktor Yanukovych, was deposed, Gostev said, adding that "six or seven" groups may be tied to the Russian government.

At the same time,Russia has come under attack by viruses linked to U.S. and U.K. intelligence services,Gostev said, adding that hacking efforts from China against Russian defense and nuclear agencies have intensified in the past year.

Snowden Warning

Edward Snowden, the former National Security Agency contractor who exposed U.S. surveillance secrets, said on Twitter last month that Russia, where he lives in exile, may have been behind the hack of NSA-linked malware that was made public. The reason, Snowden said, may have been to "influence the calculus of decision-makers wondering how sharply to respond to the DNC hacks."

Putin said that even if Russia did want to try to influence the U.S. election through leaked secrets, it doesn't have the nuanced understanding of American politics required to succeed.

"To do that you need to have a finger on the pulse and get the specifics of the domestic political life of the U.S.," the Russian president said. "I'm not sure that even our Foreign Ministry experts are sensitive enough."

Putin, 63, said the state of hacking is so sophisticated that it's impossible to know the identities or locations of the people ultimately behind them.

"You know how many hackers there are today?" Putin said. "They act so delicately and precisely that they can leave their mark -- or even the mark of others -- at the necessary time and place, camouflaging their activities as that of other hackers from other territories or countries. It's an extremely difficult thing to check, if it's even possible to check. At any rate, we definitely don't do this at a state level."

The DHS Coup d Etat

How far will the federal government go to dismantle the US Constitution?

The establishment rigs the 2000 USPresidential Election and makesFlorida and its notorious pregnant chadsthe centerpiece of that artificial controversy. Predictably, the public reaction is outrage. Suddenly, there are calls nationwide for electronic voting as the solutionto the old ‘inefficient’ paper ballot system.

Now that electronic voting is all-pervasive in the US, the next problem becomes ‘cyber security’ – which the government are referring to as the next burning national security issue.

Enter the relatively new and prohibitively expensiveDepartment of Homeland Security (DHS), which ironically (or not) was created by one George W. Bush – a president who was installed into power not by the popular vote, but by a dubious Supreme Court decision in that very same 2000 US Presidential Election. Now DHS head and Obama appointeeJeh Johnson, is nudging towards the idea of the domestic military force taking over the election process. Johnson claims that US elections are part of the country’s vital infrastructure and therefore it must be under the control of analready bloated federal agency.

What is wrong with a decentralized, traditional paper ballot system? If you are in the business of fixing elections, the answer is simple: it’s too difficult, sloppy and complicated... to hack.
