Call for Nominations

Nominations for vacancy/vacancies on the WALT Executive Committee are now being called; to take office following the meeting of the WALT General Assembly at each biennial WALT Congress for a two or four year term (depending on the position) and concluding at the subsequent biennial WALT Congress.

A nomination form is overleaf and must be returned to the Secretary General, World Association for Laser Therapy, by the closing date for nominations, 5.00pm (GMT) Thursday 14 August 2014.

Nomination forms may be submitted marked to the attention of Prof Dr Rodrigo Lopes Martins, Secretary General, World Association for Laser Therapy, and forwarded by:

Nominations for the position close at 5 PM ON THURSDAY, 14 AUGUST 2014

Procedures:

·  Nominees must be proposed and seconded by current financial members of the World Association for Laser Therapy

·  A nominee must:

1.  sign and accept the nomination for the position being nominated for;

2.  be eligible to be elected to the position;

3.  append a personal statement of 250 words or less (which will be used if an election is required); and

4.  append a brief CV (no longer than one page).

·  Nominations must be received by the Secretary General, World Association for Laser Therapy, by the closing date for nominations, 5.00pm (GMT) Thursday 14 August 2014

It is the responsibility of the nominee to confirm that their nomination has been received at the address provided by the closing date for nominations.

NOMINEE PERSONAL STATEMENT

In the event that there are nominations received for any specific WALT Executive Committee position/s, an election shall be conducted at the WALT General Assembly as per the WALT Articles of Association and its bi-laws. The Personal Statement will be used to profile each nominee for the purposes of the election. Personal Statements should be limited to 250 words or less.
