Wish We Could Get More Members from Other Councils to Attend Mass

DECEMBER, 2017 MINUTES

Grand Knight’s Report:

-Thanks to those who attended Memorial Mass, Tony Gumkowski for chairing the event and Father Mark for saying mass

-Wish we could get more members from other councils to attend mass

-Thanked Mike Parent for chairing Pancake Breakfast with Santa

Financial Secretary:

-Seven inactive members

-Billing notices going out at the end of November

-Please check your name off the sign of sheet

Chaplain:

-Thanked Knights for sponsoring Breakfast with Santa

-Wished we had more kids at event

-Card going around for people to thank Santa

-Also thanked Knights for putting up Crèche

Treasurer:

-Over $14,000 available

Chancellor:

-One message from Eversource

Financial Secretary:

-168 members

-Billing notices sent out last month

-Sent out 33 honorary life cards

-Please check your name off sign in sheet

Committees:

-Applications:

- David Lays

-Memorial Mass:

- Three other councils represented there

- None of the family members of deceased Knights honored at mass were present

-Pancake Breakfast:

- Thanked all those who volunteered

-Steak Night:

- 160 tickets sold

- Need the fires going at 2 the day of the event

- Need a bartender for the event

-Charity Bowl:

- Will be held Sunday, February 25th

- Teachers Association will try to attend our event

-St. Vincent DePaul:

- Covered two shifts

- Thanked those who volunteered

-Free Throw Contest:

- January, 13th

- Typed letter to Parks and Recreation department

- Received participation patches

- Pizza and soda will be made available at the event

-Christmas Tree Lighting:

- Bob Vess and Al S. cleaned up the leaves and got the tree up

- Problem with the lights

-Man of the Year:

- Hopefully in February

-Tootsie Roll Drive:

- Sent in forms to Supreme

- Will receive $1,200 check for Camp Sunrise

District Deputy;

-Presented council with plaque for star council achievement

-Encourages council to recruit and continue to aim for star council

New Business:

-Ordered plaque for Dick Coughlin to celebrate his longevity of being a Knight

-L.G. looking for Head Usher and other ushers for 5 p.m. mass
