2. Product Overview

The Belkin F5D9010 Wireless G Plus MIMO Notebook Card is a wireless LAN adapter. The adapter conforms to the IEEE 802.11b/g wireless standards and operates on 2.4GHz frequencies for accessing 802.11b and 802.11g WLAN networks. It features MIMO MRC technology to enhance reception, Range-OVERDRIVE technology to increase range, and Packet-OVERDRIVE technology to increase throughput between products based on the same technologies. The card is designed to work with 32-bit Cardbus card compliant system. The adapter’s software driver and utility operate on Microsoft’s Windows 2000 and XP. The product is designed for the home and small office and will be available through major retailers and online retailers.

Signal Strength – provides an indicator for signal strength.

Wireless Information – provides current status information on connected to network, network type, channel, encryption, link speed.

IP information – provides current status information on DHCP status, current IP, subnet mask, default gateway and DNS server.

Site Survey – provides network name, signal, security, type, band, channel and mac address of the current networks within the area.

Connect – connects to the selected network

Refresh – refreshes the status of the networks within the area
