Winter Points

The 200506 Winter Points Series ended with dressage and riding test at Auchlishie on 19th March at Auchlishie, having been postponed from the previous week due to snow.

The series has been supported by a relatively small number of members, and we are wondering if the series in its present form has run its course for the time being. It has been suggested that a show jumping league and a dressage league with separate riding test and equitation jumping competitions might suit more members and be better supported.

We would appreciate any thoughts on this, so please contact any committee member with your views or e-mail .

Nursery Novice Jumping

Donna and Ali organised 4 sessions at Auchlishie, where members paid £5 each to jump whatever height they were comfortable with, ranging from poles on the ground to the odd filler or two. There has been a lot of interest, and we intend to pick up again after summer.

Quiz Night

4 teams rose to the challenge of the quiz night at Colliston Inn on 24th March, organised by Sheena and Jane Welsh, who posed a varied set of questions on topics ranging from cookery and poetry to general knowledge. The horseshoe trophy was won by the (Less of the) Old Trouts, comprising of Marjorie Norrie, Sally Keddie and Ali Lothian.
