Dear Parents or Guardians,
Klein ISD has a district application called Parent Connection. This application allows parents to access their child’s information contained in the teacher’s grade book. You will be able to view your child’s grades, assignments, and attendance. You will also be able to set grade and/or attendance triggers to alert you via email if a trigger is met. The site will be opened for parent access on August 30, after 9:00 a.m.
Klein’s number one priority is security of your child’s information data. Once you have created your parent account, you will need three pieces of information on your child to gain access to their records. The data pieces are:
· Klein student ID number – see your child’s schedule or prior report card
· Student date of birth
· Student social security number or the state issued number if you did not provide the SSN when registering your child – see your campus registrar for the state number
To begin, go to the campus website and click on the link to access Parent Connection. Open the documents and read the instructions prior to creating your parent account. If you have any questions when creating your account or using the application, please call Sharon Merkt at 832-249-4501 or by email at . None of the above mentioned secure data will be given to you over the phone or email.
For parents who had accessed Parent Connection last year, you will not have to create your parent account or add your child(ren) unless:
· Your child has moved to another campus – you will need to re-add him/her to your parent account
· You have another child that has entered the campus for the first time – you will need to add him/her to your account.
Parent Connection is another tool that will foster collaboration between teacher and parent to help your child learn more, grow more and take that next step toward realizing their full potential.
