Meeting Called to Order at 7:23 pm by President, Beth Lippold
Minutes from March 2011 Meeting Approved
Treasury (Beth covering for Joyce)
Joyce making progress
She got a tax ID # for us
She is now working on the 501C3 paperwork
School district no longer letting organizations hold accounts under their tax id #
We are still looking for an attorney to donate about 10 hours to finish the paperwork
We will start exploring poker night and ladies bunko night for new fundraising events
We broke even with the last two fundraising events
$29,800 currently in bank account
Some bills coming out- flagpoles, cage, ice machine (more requests coming in)
Jag Wear- Linda Bresnahan
Linda said on Wednesday not seeing a lot of action
Linda and Tracy opened stand during a bolleyball game and sold a few items
Laurie asked how long they would sell Jag Wear and Linda said all year
Linda suggested doing a Jag Wear Saturday at the Transfer Station and to have some kids involved as they get a better response than adults alone
Beth asked Linda to talk to Holly Lando to coordinate
Linda also said they are planning on being at the 8th grade graduation
Bridget is coordinating with Dan Moulis
Beth suggested also selling at the Battle of the Bands night at the high school
She also asked Holly to email the cable station to get some Jag Wear advertising/commercial on air
Robin Cino- Jag Wear Coordinator
Robin has been spending time in the hospital with her dad and other board members have been covering for her- she thanked them
Membership- Currently at 172
Scholarship Committee- Laurie Liddy
Laurie explained to coaches present that families need to be Booster members every year in order for their student to be eligible for the scholarship
Mock selection on 5/3 with new scoring system
Application will be up on website this summer
Per Bill, Endowment meeting with Dollars for Scholars as well

Cranking- 3,000 this since last month- total up to 55,600 hits
Small businesses have been asking Beth how they can help. She is going to ask each one for $150 and then she will put their logo on the website
Golf Tourney- Linda Adams
It will be on Monday 6/27

Concessions
Tracy Mrvos has stepped up to take on this function- everyone cheered
Stand was opened for one volleyball game- made $40
Coach Hedge said that there is a softball double header on May 14th if we want to open concessions that day- games against Manchester
New Business
Expenditures
Request from Tyler Caron- he would like to take his eagle project to give the baseball and softball team roofs for their dugouts- Tyler then explained his proposal and gave us a handout to look at
Beth explained the process of our decision making to Yler and we will come back to him with the amount we are willing to donate
The total cost of the project is around $3,300. Tyler said that if we came up with half, that would be great. He plans on fundraising for the rest.
Hudle
Board members met last week and discussed the Hudle software request from Bill. Bill explained it in detail to all of us. It is a web-based film storing for games, matches, practices, etc. The football staff put their fundraising money towards it this year. Bill said several coaches want this- Beth received a copule of letters from different coaches and read them to us- they were from Jim Bail (Baseball), Joe Mason (Girls Varsity Basketball), Chris Barbeau )Basketball, Volleyball and Track) and Tom Darren (Wrestling)
We would need password access. A 1 year membership cost is $2,800 for the entire school.
Bill and Coach Hedge said all colleges want to see film/video
Derek said video analysis is becoming more and more popular and very useful from a coaching perspective
Bill said they also want to purchase an end zone camera and this donation would help them to be able to spend their football money on that camera
Local rep will come out and work with any coaches- there are also tutorials on You Tube.
Bullpen Mounds
Derek Lee asked the board for help. Jay Yennaco offered to donate the materials and labor- total cost $600. He asked board to make a donation of $300. Beth said no but is willing to put the Delahunty Logo on our website.
Marion also suggested giving them some Jag Wear.
Bill Raycraft
Spring Awards Night is scheduled for 6/7 right now. It may change due to some confirmation and other conflicts.
June 1st is move up day- High School coaches will be going to WMS to meet with 8th graders
Ice machine check went over to the SAU
Volleyball going well-so far we have been able to fund it
Bill explained the Affinity Program at TD Banknorth-his wife works there and her boss is willing to come in to further describe this program to us
Bill asked about Fall Programs. He would like to see one done. He said, in the past, with other schools he has worked with, it requires a subcommittee and the work should start now.
Laurie asked if we should do one for each season. Bill said probably but the fall one is the bigger money maker.
Joyce said we need to open a new bank account and money market with the new tax id #
Fundraising
Girls Lacrosse is doing cards
Baseball and Softball are doing cash calendars
Volleyball is doing a jump rope for heart fundraiser
Camps
Camps can no longer go under the school anymore either
Teams are forming an LLC and getting their own insurance
Beth pushed more volunteer involvement as well as a PR push for membership and upcoming elections
Next Meeting will be on 5/19 and we will hold board elections during this meeting
Coach hedge asked about movie nights- up in the air right now per Beth
Robin suggested getting freshman parents when they in the fall- hosting an informal social in the hs cafeteria
Beth said the fall is too late-we need to get them now
Bill suggested doing one in early August
Linda asked for flyer for 8th grade parents to boost membership
Beth showed us the sample table cover and drop- everyone liked it
