Course:The meet location is the E.J. Hagan, MD Indoor Pool, located at 1204 4th Ave W., at the corner of 4th Ave. W. and Highland Drive, in Williston, ND. The swimming pool is eight lanes by 25 yards for the short course length. The pool water depth is a minimum of 1.54 meters (5.0 feet) at the starting blocks and 1.0 meters (3.28 feet) at the turning end of the pool. Daktronics automatic timing system and scoreboard will be used.

Eligibility:Entries are open to 2013USA & CASA registered swimmers. Age as of February 10, 2013,shall determine age group for swimmers.

Rules:The current USA Short Course rules and safety policies shall govern this meet. The Whistle start and No Recall False start will be used for this meet. This is a timed final meet. There will be clerk of course. Seed cards will not be used. All swimmers are to report directly to their lanes for their events. Any swimmer not appearing at the blocks to swim in his/her designated position will be scratched from the event. NO TIME (NT) swimmers will be seeded in slower heats. All entries must include each registered swimmer’s “current and complete” USA number, age and order of swimmers for relays. Changes and additions can be made with the referee and computer manager 30 minutes before the start of the meet. The meet referee reserves the right to combine any heats or events. All swimmers preparing for a backstroke event must enter the water from “sit and slide”. Failure to enter feet first may result in a safety disqualification. Deck personnel, including Coaches, Officials, Timing equipment operators and Safety personnel are expected to provide and/or display current USA Swimming Registration cards.

Warm up:North Dakota Swimming, Inc. Warm-up Procedures and Safety Guidelines (see current NDLSC Policy Manual) will be in effect at this meet. Swimmers must enter the pool feet first. Team coaches are responsible for direct supervision of their swimmers during warm-ups, as well as during the meet. There will be a warm-up / cool-down pool available while the meet is in progress. Swimmers using the warm-up / cool-down pool during the meet must be under the direct supervision of a coach. Safety marshals will be on deck during warm-ups. The referee and meet manager reserve the right to make changes in the warm-up procedure.

Events:Swimmers may swim a total of 5 individual events and 1 relay. Swimmers may move up to fill relays only. The relays are COED and may be any combination of male and female swimmers. A swimmer may not swim the same distance in an event in two different age groups. Girls and Boys shall swim separately within their agegroups for all individual events. Please note the order of events and decide if your swimmers have at least 10-15 minutes between events. The Referee reserves the right to add a time line break at their discretion.

Fees:$1.50 per individual event

$3.00 per relay event

$3.50 per swimmer NDLSC fee

$15.00 per swimmer for electronic timing, pool equipment and pool rental fee.

Saturday: Warm-ups @ 9:30-10:30 a.m. CST

Officials meeting with Referee @ 10:00 a.m. (Coaches’ office)

Meet starts at 11:00

Coaches’ meeting immediately following the relays in front of the pool office.

Scoring Individual event points: 9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1

& Awards:Events will be scored and awarded by age group (6 & U, 8 & U, 10 & U, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18). Individual events 1-12th place will receive ribbons. Relays 1-8th place will receive ribbons. High point awards will be presented for 1-3rd place to both , high scoring boys and girls in each age group (6 & U, 8 & U, 10 & U, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-18). If coaches/swimmers decide to change events after the program is printed, the points earned in the switched events will not be counted toward high point awards. Timed results will be posted for each event. Within 30 minutes of the last event’s completion, each team’s coach will receive one paper copy of the meet results. Results can be e-mailed to each coach or on any transfer device that is compatible with our computer. Our computer does not have a disc drive.

Entries:Send e-mail entries to by 9 pm on February 2, 2013. No faxed entries will be accepted. All entries must include each registered swimmer’s “current and complete” USA number and age. Send paper back-up sheets, meet fees (non-refundable) and checks payable to WSL to:
