Minutes 11th September 2017

· Approved minutes of last meeting (12th June)

Past events:
· Production Raffle 11th July: raised a wonderful £315, funds shared with Royal National Lifeboat Association (rnli.org)
· Sponsored Bounce 14th July: Monies still coming in, final amount TBC. Refreshments made a healthy £50.
· Sports day teas 18th July: Money raised amount TBC
Upcoming events:
· Bake sale: Monday 9th October: to be served with teas & coffee’s to encourage volunteers and raise awareness of FOWS. Need FABULOUS BANNER! FOWS cake!!??? … leaflets,,,,
· Quiz Night: Proposed date of 18th November, based on Greg’s confirmation, availability of hall and no of volunteers following the AGM. Andrea to check with Greg and place ad in Parish Mag.
· Halloween Tues 31st October: 3.30 – 5.00 pm. Host a Harry Potter banquet at Widwarts! Decorate hall, Halloween food. Possible screening of Harry Potter film. Harry Potter quiz.

Cover charge TBC and/ or donations bucket? - to be decided after food costing confirmed.
· Race Night: Andrea to check with Greg to schedule in April
2017-2018 Planned Expenditure: most funds raised this year will go toward visits and trips. Other considerations: laptops and marquee (for dog show). Diane P to confirm estimated costs required.
Christmas dates:
2nd December: Christmas Bazaar
12th December: Nativity
14th December: wear something Christmassy (possible Xmas lunch)
15th December: Christmas wrap
18th December: Ice-skating at Van Hages
19th December: Break up and Christmas parties

· Next FOWS Meeting /AGM on the 9th October to have accounts ready for AGM.
· AGM Thursday 12th Oct: Really need additional members! How do we push for new members!!??? Laura W considering shadow treasurer… tbc! New chair needed and secretary role also available.
Future of FOWS to be assessed after AGM.
Include FOWS monetary contribution in letters when explaining coach/ trip fees.
Diane Penn to add FOWS awareness letter to AGM letters W/C 25th September
