What you need to know about Printsolv in

Plain English

Dear valued client,

The Circle is providing its clients free of charge a software based printer management tool called Printsolv. With Printsolv The Circle can monitor error alerts, toner levels and much more to make managing your printer fleet even easier than before.

Printsolv is a printer/copier fleet management tool with the following advantages over Webjetadmin:

  1. Much easier to use.
  2. Stores page counts in a SQL database so you can determine page volumes between any two dates.
  3. Both you the client and The Circle can access the data through a convenient web portal.

How it works:

You install the Printsolv data collection agent (DCA) on any workstation on the network but preferably one that is rarely if ever turned off. You’ll configure the send settings, frequency of data collection etc. It is a relatively simple program with a small footprint. You’ll need a license key which we can provide usually within a day or two of your request. The license is free.

You access the data, the reports etc. by going to .

You’ll be issued a password and username with the license key.

From there the interface is relatively intuitive. You can at a glance look at toner levels, printer status etc. There is also a very robust reporting module.

Getting the program:

Your Circle Technician will have the software files on his USB key. But you can download Printsolv by going to:

  1. Lower right hand corner: “Presentations”
  2. Lower left hand corner: “Downloads”
  3. Select the directory called “Printsolv”
  4. Download the install file: dca_install.msi
  5. Optionally download file: localbeacon.exe – you install this file on computers with a local printer attached so you can keep track of these as well.

Remember that we you will need a license key in order to install the program. The price of the software is $0. All you have to do is call us 800-635-8558 or email: and we’ll get you a key.

Is it Secure?

Banks, insurance companies, hospitals and many other types of organizations are using the program which is about 4 years old. The only data being sent is printer data – and you can suppress the IP address if you want. The program keeps a record of the data sent in an archive directory so you can actually see what is sent. You can send via HTTPS so the data is secure and encrypted when on its way to the Synnex server. See the file Printfleet Software Security.pdf in the download directory for more information.
