This week we will meet Ms. V. This letterperson wears a vegetable vest. She grows vegetables from seeds in her garden. Ms. V loves eating colorful vegetables and has a vegetable stand for all to enjoy. We will be working with the number 11 this week and have some fun Easter activities as well!
& MORE… This week, we will continue working on our program songs. After our spring program, we will begin looking at early literacy booklets, that we will practice during the week and bring home on Fridays. We will workshop this week, creating a timeline of Jesus’ life. During science workshop, we will see a volcano in action! During centers, we will create our letter V alphabet book page, work with writing on our play-doh #11 mats, create our own volcano scene with streamers, and paint a collage with Easter eggs. At group art time, we will make a volcano and an Easter basket full of eggs. Also, we will read The Magic School Bus Blows Its Top and The Easter Bunny That Overslept.
In Jesus Time we are going to begin talking about the Easter story. Jesus took our punishment for our sins and died on the cross so that we may have eternal life in Heaven with Him. What an amazing love!
Schedule Change for this week… Due to our Easter party on Friday, we will have regular days Wednesday and Friday and center days Tuesday and Thursday. Show and Tell will ONLY be on Wednesday this week!
PTL Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday, 3/24 at 10 am at the big school. Each child is asked to bring a dozen filled eggs. What a great way to celebrate the Easter season!
Easter Party is THIS Friday, March23th from 10-11am. We will have regular class that day from 8:30-10 am. In your planning, please let me know if you need any supplies we may have here in preschool. ANYONE is welcome to attend. We are all looking forward to another fun, fabulous party.
Spring Program is fast approaching! Have you been hearing our songs at home?!?! We are so very excited to perform for you! After Spring Break, we will have 2 regular class days on April 3rd and 4th. Then, we will meet as an ENTIRE preschool in the big school gym, from 8:30-11 on Thursday, 4/5 and 4/6 (more details coming to you soon!). Our performance will be in the big school gym on Sunday, April 8th at 2 pm (additional details also coming soon).
Square 1 Art: Your child created a special art project and through this company, you can order your child’s artwork printed on a variety of different items. Orders are due by March 23rd!
Activity Bags need to be returned NO LATER than Friday, March 23rd (day before Spring Break). Please make sure that if you have any bags at home, to complete them and return by this date.
Remember, during the end of winter and beginning of spring, our weather can be a bit tricky. We will go outside, weather permitting and above real feel of 32 degrees. Please make sure your child is prepared (i.e. coat, hat, gloves) for chilly morning outdoor play.
Upcoming dates: Easter party will be Friday, 3/23 from 10-11 am. Spring Break is the week of 3/26-3/30. No School Easter Monday, 4/2. Special spring program practices Thursday and Friday, 4/5-4/6. Preschool Spring Program is Sunday 4/8 at 2 pm. PTL Auction is Friday, 5/4. Preschool Fathers’ Night is Friday, 5/11. Preschool Family Fun Night is Monday, 5/21.

Lent…Final Lenten worship service is this Wednesday morning at 10:30 followed by a luncheon and Wednesday evening at 7, preceded by a dinner sponsored by Immanuel youth. This weekend begins Holy Week. Immanuel offers may worship opportunities during the Easter season.Palm Sunday (3/25) 8 am and 10:45 am; Maundy Thursday (3/29) 10:30 am and 7 pm; Good Friday (3/30) 10:30 am, 7 pm, and 9 pm; Easter Sunday (4/1) 6 am, 8 am, and 10:45 am.
