What about the Elements?

There have been many questions asked during class about the elements, where they come from, how do we capture the element, how do we use the element, etc. Now is your chance to find out more information about the elements. You will be assigned one element. You must prepare an informative brochure about your element and then present your brochure to the class. Below is the information that you must provide about your perspective elements.

  1. Name of the Element
  2. Chemical Symbol (atomic mass, atomic number, symbol)
  3. What state is it found in on earth (solid, liquid, gas, plasma)
  4. Element’s abundance on the earth/universe?
  5. Who found the element?
  6. When was the element found?
  7. How is it used?
  8. Is it reactive, if so with what elements?

You must provide information on tasks 1 – 8, you may add any interesting facts about your element. Make this brochure your own, decorate the brochure as you see fit, have fun with this assignment, be creative. You will have one element per page. Below is your rubric for your Brochure.
