SUGGESTED CLOTHING LIST

(six day trip)

STUDENTS MUST HAVE A PHOTO I.D. TO BOARD THE PLANE

WHAT TO TAKE??? The following is suggested outline of your clothing needs. Each student may have individual requirements and should plan accordingly. However, the key ideas to keep in mind are:

* Plan for inclement weather; bring warm clothes.

* Bring clothes that let you dress in “layers” that can easily be taken off as it warms up.

* Travel light - the fewer items the better. NO LIQUIDS IN CARRY-ON

* One piece of check through luggage less than 50 lbs. and one carry-on per student.

* Bring a watch or Cell Phone w/clock and alarm feature.

* Be sure ALL suitcases, carry-ons, cameras and electronics have I.D. on them!

IF YOU BRING A CAMERA AND/OR ANY PERSONAL ELECTRONIC ITEM, BE SURE IT HAS IDENTIFICATION ON THE ITEM NOT JUST ON THE CASE! Students usually take between 150 and 250 pictures per trip. Plan accordingly.

CELL PHONES/LAPTOPS – Cell Phones are permitted but must be kept off while on tour. Cell Phones must be labeled with the student’s name and address. FYI – students have lost cell phones every year they have been permitted on the trip! Laptops are not suggested as they tend to be a “high theft” item and delay security checks.

CASH??? Students will not need a great deal of money. Everything except souvenirs and snacks is paid for. PLEASE PACK $20.00 IN QUARTERS AND/OR ONE DOLLAR BILLS TO USE IN FOOD/SODA MACHINES.

Unless you know that you wish to buy a specific expensive item, $150-$250 for souvenirs should be adequate. PLEASE DO NOT BRING TRAVELERS CHECKS OR LARGE BILLS. You may wish to consider purchasing a VISA or MASTERCARD “debit card” in lieu of cash. BE SURE YOUR CHILD’S NAME IS ON THE CARD

KNIVES, SCISSORS, METAL BELTS AND LASER POINTERS ARE PROHIBITED ON THE TRIP
