Registration:

Coach:Register your team online March 9 - March 30

Player:Player registration will open March 9 – May 1

$25.00/player due by May 1

*Teams MUST submit one payment that includes all registered players. Individual payments will no longer be accepted. After May 1, Players must register online and be paid for prior to their teams first game. Players registering after May 1are NOT guaranteed entrance into the program and are NOT guaranteed a commemorative T-shirt.

Rosters:

An electronic roster will be generated for each team. Rosters will include player name, and jersey number. The rosters will be entered into an Event Program. No limit to number of players on roster.

Divisions:

U15 – Will play minimum 3 games, Pool Play, Championship Certificates Awarded

U13– Guaranteed 3 game minimum, no playoffs

U11 - Guaranteed 3 game minimum, no playoffs

U9 - Guaranteed 3 game minimum, no playoffs

Rules of Play: 2012 US Lacrosse Youth Rules will be used

U15FC - Full Checking

U15 MOD – Modified Checking

U13 - Modified Checking

U11- No Checking

U9 - No Checking

Game Format:

  • Two fifteen minute running halves
  • One, 2-minute half time. (Teams will switch sides at half time)
  • One, 1-minute time out, per team, per half is permitted
  • MercyRule- If a team is leading by 4 or more goals, the opposing team will receive the ball at the center circle
  • Unlimited substitutions can be made on the fly at the score/time area
  • U13, U11, U9 games resulting in TIE will remain a TIE
  • U15 teams will play 1, three min “sudden victory”, DRAW to start the game, goalie clears on a save. First goal wins and ends game. After the 1-three min overtime the game will remain a TIE

Team Arrangements:

  • U15 Teams will play pool play, highest ranked team enters elimination playoffs
  • U15 games will be given ranking points as followed: 3=win, 0=loss, 1 = Tie
  • The First PlaceU15team will receive individual certificates
  • Coaches must check the board at the Registration Tent for game scores
  • U13, U11, U9 teams will play round-robin and follow the attached schedule

Athletic Trainer:

  • Athletic Trainers will be on site the entire day – Emergency Contact 412-860-0878
  • Please bring your own tape and pre-wrap for it will not be supplied

Inclement Weather:

In the event that 100% of the event is cancelled on May 19, at the discretion of the St. Vincent College Facility and Event Staff and WPSLAgirls Board, the Rain Date (May 26th) will take effect. No Refunds. Partial cancelation, game suspension, delay and modified schedule may occur during ‘day of’ due to inclement weather. In this case, games will resume on time and as scheduled. No extension of the day will occur.

All notifications will be made using the Phonevite system to alert HEAD COACHES.

Coaching:All coaches have total responsibility for the conduct of their players, substitutes, friends, and spectators at all times. Coaching from the sidelines is permitted, provided:

  • The tone of the voice is instructive and not derogatory
  • Each coach remains on their half of the field, behind the sideline, between the substitution area and the restraining line
  • No coach, player or spectator makes derogatory remarks or gestures to the umpires, other coaches, players or spectators
  • No coach, players or spectators uses profanity or disruptive behavior in any manor

Yellow & Red Cards:

A player or coach receiving two yellow cards in a single game will be removed from further play in that game.

A player or coach who has been issued a Red Card or who is ejected for any reason will not be allowed to participate in the remainder of the tournament. Players may not play, coaches may not coach.

Ejections are determined by the referees, expulsion from the tournament will be determined by the tournament director.

Suspended and Terminated Games:

If in the opinion of the game officials, Athletic Trainers, or Tournament Director a game must be suspended for any reason the game may be resumed but is subject to being ended not less than 5 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the next game. If a game must be ended due to misconduct of a player, coach or spectator, the offending team may be suspended from further play and forfeits that game and all remaining games.

Injury:

Delays of the game due to injury may result in shortened or ended game times. All games must end 5 minutes prior to the start of the next scheduled game on that field. Score keepers at each field can summon the Athletic Trainer(s) to your field in case of injury or emergency.

Home Team:

  • Your team is to wear their colored (away) jerseys if possible. And bring home jerseys or pinnies
  • The team listed closest to the top of the pool will wear their home colors or pinnies if necessary

Disputes:

There are no disputes! The Tournament Director or his/her designee will settle all other disputes and the decision made will be final.

Other Information:

  • Each field will have a timer and scorekeeper provided
  • There will be ice and water at each field however no cups will be provided
  • The pavilion is not available for team use. We encourage teams to bring a tent and set up around the tournament venue
  • Outside food may be brought in
  • NO grilling of any kind is permitted
  • Have your team ready to go as soon as the previous game is finished
  • Extra TRASH BAGS are available at the pavilion – Please keep SVC green
