Farm Stock Tractor Pull Rules

  1. No consumption of alcoholic beverages or narcotics in track or pit area, failure to observe rules will result in removal from pit or track area without any refund of entry fees.
  2. All contestants must be 16 years of age with parental consent through age 18. Parent or guardian must be present to compete.
  3. Judges have the right to re-weigh or re-tech any tractor at any time during or after the pull.
  4. All engine fans must be shrouded with factory shroud or minimum 1/16” thick steel.
  5. No weight may extend more than 24” beyond the forward most point of the tractor.
  6. The tractor tires must remain inside the boundaries of the content course.
  7. Minimum draw bar length of 18” from the center of the rear axle to the point of hook, and draw bar must be stationary in all directions. Maximum height of 20” from top of hitching device parallel to the ground
  8. Draw bar is to be equipped with a steel hitching device not more than 1.5” thick and a 3” diameter opening. The cross sectional thickness must be a minimum of 7/8” thick and a maximum 1.5”.
  9. No pressurized tanks unless UL approved, no nitrous oxide, no oxygen, and no propane
  10. All tractors must compete using a working governor.
  11. All tractors must compete using the fuel the tractor was intended to run from the factory.
  12. No portion of the tractor may interfere with any portion of the sled or sled hitching device.
  13. All weights must be secured to tractor on weight bracket no weight on lift arms. Fluid ballast and wheel weights will be permitted, any loss of fluid or weight on track will result in disqualification.
  14. Weight must be no closer than 8” to draw bar.
  15. All tractors must be equipped with working rear brakes.
  16. Driver has 100’ to decide to restart.
  17. Driver must be in total control at all times and operate in a safe manner or be disqualified at the discretion of the flag person.
  18. Tractor must be stopped upon signal from either track official. Pull is considered over when forward motion of the sled stops, no hole digging allowed.
  19. The number one puller will be the test puller, may take the pull if the working condition of the weight machine is satisfactory. Driver will have option to drop to the sixth pulling position. In the event the sled is changed there is no option to drop, and the next puller will be the test puller.
  20. All tractors must be in neutral or park while being hooked or unhooked.
  21. Contestants may spot the sled for their pull. Contestant must notify the tract official or sled operator before the sled is backed into start position.
  22. All contestants must pull in position drawn within three minutes of sled spotting or will be disqualified. Track officials must be notified of any delays, and then the contestant may become last puller.
  23. All pulls must start with a tight hitch, no jerking.
  24. The same official will inspect all tractors.
  25. No tractor can compete in more than two weight classes.
  26. All classes must have hood grill and fenders.
  27. There will be 3,000-rpm limit on all classes.
  28. Tractors are required to have a working PTO.
  29. Any fighting will result in removal from grounds without refund of any entry fees.
  30. Failure to obey the flag person will result in disqualification of that class.
  31. Violation of any rule will result in automatic disqualification. Track official has right to stop and disqualify any tractor at any time.
  32. You will not be allowed to pull next year if you intentionally break any of the above rules!
