Welcome to Williamsburg, Virginia, the Coronial Capital of Virginia. Williamsburg and its vicinity has something to offer everyone: history, education, golfing, amusement parks, shopping, museums, and much, much more.

Our internationally renowned Coronial Area offers you a trip to the past. You can ride horse-drawn carriages, stroll the streets of the restored area and mix with the local interpreters dressed in the 18tli century costumes, and watch crafters at work as they demonstrate the coronial trades. Tour the campus of William & Mary chartered in 1693. William & Mary is the site of the oldest American academic buildings still in continuous use and is the alma mater of many of the nation's founding fathers. A visit to the Williamsburg Visitors Center is a must.

Within easy commuting distance of Williamsburg are Jamestown and Yorktown, the other two points of the acclaimed Historic Triangle. Jamestown is the first permanent English settlement dating from 1607. Recent excavations have unearthed the original lost fort and the skeletal remains of an original inhabitant. Yorktown tells the story of the American Revolution. Both the Yorktown Victory Center and the Jamestown Visitors Center provide excellent visits into our past.

Award winning golf courses around in the Williamsburg area. Kingsmill on the James, Fords Colony and the Golden Horseshoe are among the best in our nation. Dining is at its finest in Williamsburg. Dine at a Colonial Tavern in the heart of the restored area or enjoy one of the splendid restaurants in the area.

We welcome you to our community and are sure that you will find it to be a special place to visit. We hope that your time spent with us is memorable and extend a warm invitation to return.
