CHURCH FAMILY:

Clarence Jilderda had repair of an aortic aneurysm last Wednesday at the Heart Hospital in SF. The surgery went well and he was able to return home on Thursday. We praise the Lord for this and pray that the recovery will go well. They thank everyone for your prayers.

ADVANCE ANNOUNCEMENTS

The board of the Bible for Missions thrift store invites all volunteers and their spouses to a dinner as thanks for all the hours you have worked. The dinner will be held in the ARC Center at the American Reformed Church at 1720 N. Burlington, Worthington, MN, at 6 P.M. on October 3, 2017. Western Christian High School would like to invite all friends of Western Christian to the Friends of Western Banquet at Western on Thursday, October 12 at 5:30 p.m. The cost per meal is $10.00 and is sponsored by the Western Christian Foundation. Western Christian faculty members will inspire you with their presentations before the evening concludes with the Fall Music Festival at 7:30 p.m.Please RSVP by emailing or call the school at 439-1013 before October 9 to make your reservation.

All congregations of classis Lakota and classis Heartland are warmly invited to a combined worship service in honor of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation. The joint Lakota-Heartland service will be on Sunday, October 29 @3:00pm in the Western Christian High School gym in Hull, IA. The service will include music by area high school choirs and a brass quintet, a sermon by Pastor John Lee, and a celebration of communion hosted by the councils of First and Hope CRC's of Hull. The offering will be for Resonate Global Mission.
