Expressions of interest are invited from interested applicants for a support (Numeracy and Literacy) / RFF classroom teacher position K-6 at Robertson Public School.

Position Information

Robertson Public School is a K-6 school of 156 students. We currently have 6 classes, 4 of which are composite.

Our teaching staff has a strong commitment to improving student learning outcomes through quality teaching, professional learning, literacy, numeracy and student wellbeing. Parents and community members play a valued role in the life of the school through the Parents and Citizens’ Association.

The following statement of duties will assist applicants preparing an expression of interest for this position.

Role description

The successful applicant will be required to:

  • Evidence outstanding capacity to work collegially across a school and with individual teachers.
  • Support the analysis of student data and monitor student progress, in collaboration with the classroom teacher to deliver strategic teaching interventions in Numeracy and Literacy.
  • Work with teachers K-6 to differentiate teaching and learning for target students in literacy and numeracy.
  • Contribute to assessing and reporting requirements for target students.
  • Evidence strong communication and organisational skills.

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated classroom teaching experience K-6
  • TEN, or CMIT or TOWN training (desirable)
  • L3 or Focus on Reading training (desirable)
