Message from Mrs Wyatt
It is with mixed emotions that I leave this wonderful school. I will miss many things: the children and their families that I know so well; the talented and committed staff team whoprovide excellent opportunities for learning in engaging and fun ways; the strong, challenging but supportive governing body who have ensured we have focused on the right priorities in the most efficient manner; and the many people from the local community who have given so much on a voluntary basis. I am proud to have been your headteacher for the past 10 years and know that Weetwood will always have a special place in my heart.
I am looking forward to the new challenges that being headteacher of Alwoodley Primary School will bring. Starting again is both daunting and exciting – it is the start of a new adventure!
I would like to thankall members of the Weetwood community who have contributed to the success of Weetwood over the past 10 years:staff, governors, the School Association, the Saturday football coaches, Before and After School Club, yourselves and, most importantly, the children.
Thank you for all your lovely cards, presents, messages and best wishes – they are all appreciated.
I know you will welcome Mr Iglesias into Weetwood and continue to support the staff and governors as they work with him during the next exciting phase in the life of Weetwood Primary School.

Staff News
Today the school has received the resignation of Mrs Chernenko. We would like to thank her for her hard work and wish her well for the future.
As a result of this, Miss Gardner will teach Year 2 from September. Mr Whitaker will be teaching Year 3 in September. He is an experienced and dedicated teacher who has taught classes at Weetwood in the past.
Farewell to our Leavers
We wish the Year 6 children and their families the best of luck for high school. We will miss you and hope that you will keep in touch.
