‘Forthis reason I, Paul, theprisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles -Surelyyouhaveheardaboutthe administrationof God’sgracethatwas givento me for you,thatis,themystery made known to me by revelation, as I havealreadywritten briefly. Inreading this, then,you willbe abletounderstand myinsightintothemystery ofChrist,which was notmade knowntomeninothergenerations asit has now been revealed bythe Spirit toGod’sholyapostles andprophets.Thismystery isthatthroughthegospelthe Gentiles areheirs togetherwith Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together inthe promise inChrist Jesus.I became a servantof thisgospelbythe gift of God’sgracegivenmethroughtheworking of hispower.AlthoughI amless thanthe leastof allGod’speople, thisgrace was given me: topreachtothe Gentiles theunsearchable richesof Christ,and to make plaintoeveryone the administration ofthis mystery,which forages pastwaskept hiddeninGod,whocreated allthings. Hisintentwas thatnow,throughthechurch,themanifold wisdom of Godshould be madeknowntothe rulers andauthoritiesinthe heavenlyrealms, accordingtohiseternal purposewhichhe accomplishedin Christ Jesusour Lord.In himandthroughfaithinhimwemay approach Godwith freedom andconfidence. I askyou, therefore, notto be discouraged because of my sufferings for you,whichareyourglory.’
