We wanted to take a moment and give our very best THANK YOU to the wonderful people and businesses that were so vital in making the Marilyn Hagen Benefit a big success. Cancer is a terrible crippling disease to the body and spirit of an individual and with your generosity we were able to bring a brighter day to a wonderful woman! We know as a business in a low population area you must be asked often to donate services or goods and the fact that you donated for our cause means a great deal to us and we just can’t thank you enough! Should ever a day come when any one of us would need this kind of help our hope is that there are still compassionate, generous people such as you in this world! On behalf of Marilyn Hagen and her family MANY THINGS and MANY BLESSINGS your way!

DINNER THEATRE PLANNED

The Dutton/Brady After School Program is once again planning a Dinner Theatre. Local thespians are busy practicing for their performance of “She Was Only Marginally Modest.” The performances are scheduled for the dinner and play to be held on Sunday, January 19th at 4:00 PM and a matinee for students and those who cannot attend on Sunday for 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 18th. Both will be held at the American Legion Hall.

Filled with puns, punches, and munchable moose muffins, this classic melodrama is wonderfully entertaining. Set in the roomy (by that we mean almost always vacant) Dead Moose Lodge, this delightful melodrama has a myriad of amusing characters (a must), plot twists (a necessity), and exaggerated scenes (defines melodrama) that you will adore. We introduce you to the harried heroine, Marginally Modest (Lily Jean Wahl—Young, innocent, sweet and simple—it’s the “margin” you need to watch for), Monopoly Belle (Ma Belle) (Amber Coffman—is middle-aged, determined and hard-pressed for cash), Brad Apple (Mark Larson—trying to get his mean, slimy hands on the lodge and Marginally Modest), Gladiola (Collette Wilson—shy, quiet and shrill), Hattie Hogge (Becky Rosholt—loud, crude and odiferous), Granny Fanny (Carol Sims—an Eighty-seven year old spitfire looking for a husband), Prunehilda Pincher (Peggy Doheny—Granny’s daughter who is prim, proper and prune-faced, Granny’s looking for a husband for her too!), Judge Jury McBribe (Randy Rossmiller—determined to get the most out of life, preferably in cash, don’t forget the bribe!), Seymore Stoutfellow (Eric Doheny—Colorado Mounty who is loyal honest and simple), Willimena Worm (Tasha Johnson—dumb, beautiful and lonesome—sells moose munchies), Turkey O’Trot (Reid Michel—an oversized, under-brained woodchopper—loves moose muffins!), and Ruben Z. Patsy (Luke Juras—a judge in disguise). The entire cast has a moment to steal the show (give ‘em an inch, they take a mile!)

Tickets are now on sale. Prices for the Dinner Theatre (choice of Baron of Beef or Marinated Chicken Breast Entrée) on Sunday, January 19th are $25.00 per person or $45.00 for a couple. Prices for the matinee (with light refreshments) on Saturday, January 18th are $6.00 for Students and Seniors 65+ or $8.00 for Adults. Seating is limited for both shows so purchase your tickets early! Please call the school (476-3424) if interested in purchasing tickets (leave a message if over the holiday and someone will get back to you.) What a great stocking stuffer!!

DINNER THEATRE DECORATIONS AND PROPS NEEDED: If you are looking for something to do with your wreaths and/or swags after Christmas, please drop them at the school and we will recycle them for use as decoration for the play. We are also looking for the following items to borrow for props: at least 2 sets of adult sized old leather boxing gloves,
