Lawn Maintenance

We have a new lawn maintenance company; Baker Commercial Landscaping. Baker will be starting the first week of September after the Labor Day holiday. Thursdays and Fridays will be days the neighborhood will be serviced. As we make this change please be patient as Baker learns the intricate details of our neighborhood.

If anyone wishes NOT to have their lawn serviced by Baker, please call and leave a message at the office. Even though you have let us know in the past that you do not want lawn service, please RECONFIRM with us as we transition to Baker.

Baker is offering residents fertilization bimonthly at a discounted rate of $35/month. More information and who to contact regarding additional services will be available in mid-September.

The WTV Office is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 AM to Noon.

Household Recycling in Winter Springs

Household recycling is collected one (1) time per week on Tuesday. Please place your household recycling curbside by 7 a.m.

PLEASE RECYCLE THE FOLLOWING:

·  Aluminum - Empty cans.

·  Corrugated cardboard boxes - Please flatten, and either cut down or fold to a size of no more than 3' X 3' flattened. Staples and tape do not have to be removed.

·  Glass - Clear & color food and beverage jars and bottles. Please rinse and remove food and other contents. Labels, rings and lids on glass containers are acceptable but should be removed from containers.)

·  Juice cartons – All drink boxes and milk/juice cartons.

·  Magazines - Including catalogs and printed material with glossy pages.

·  Mixed paper - Brown paper bags, junk mail, envelopes, copier paper, pizza boxes, cardboard egg cartons, paper towel & toilet paper rolls, cereal and shoe boxes.

·  Newspapers - Includes all paper that is distributed with or as part of general circulation newspapers.

·  Plastics - With the recycling symbol #1-7 PET and HDPE containers such as beverage bottles, dishwashing soap bottles, shampoo bottles, plastic milk jugs, and detergent bottles. Please rinse and remove food and other contents. Labels, rings and lids on plastic containers are acceptable. (Please remove all lids.)

·  Steel and tin cans - Please rinse or remove contents (empty aerosol cans are OK too).

·  Telephone books

ITEMS THAT CANNOT BE RECYCLED

·  Ceramics

·  Christmas lights

·  Coat hangers

·  Computers, printers or other office equipment

·  Electric cords

·  Garden hoses

·  Glass cookware/bake ware

·  Household items - Cooking pots & pans, toasters, etc.

·  Light bulbs (incandescent or fluorescent)

·  Mirrors

·  Plastic bags

·  Plastics - Unnumbered or without recycle symbol

·  Porcelain

·  Styrofoam - Egg cartons, food containers, or packing material

·  Window or auto glass

Continuing Activities

·  Bunco- held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month @ 7 PM

·  Line dancing- every Monday @ 1 PM in the clubhouse

·  If you are interested in playing bridge please call we have 3 other players

Yard Housekeeping Issues

·  No political signs only real estate signs permitted per WTV covenants.

·  Please pull weeds and remove unnecessary items (cement blocks, wood, empty flower pots, etc.).

·  Remove dead shrubs and plants.

·  Replace dead sod.

·  Fall is coming along with cooler temperatures so we should all have an opportunity to spruce up our landscaping and yards. Let’s try and keep our

community a pleasing neighborhood to live in.
