Webex and Onsite at WWA Conference

  1. Welcome and Roll Call:Jean P., Tom H., Dave B., Robin P., Sally G.
  1. Review and approve the minutes from 2/11/16: Motion to Approve by Robin P., Seconded by Dave B.
  1. Seminar Recap/Comments – 2 handouts from Jill – recap summary and evaluation comments (attached) – good attendance and good scores on the evaluations. Suggestions were made to improve viewing of screens and lighting issues. We will keep these in mind for next conference.
  1. Seminar Recap/Comments -

a)In person meeting Madison or Milwaukee, October 25th, 2016 - There will be an in-person meeting at the Oak Creek Water and Sewer Utility located @ 170 W. Drexel Ave., Oak Creek. The meeting will start at 9:00 with a lunch to follow.

b)Thursday, March 2nd or Tuesday, March 7th, 2017

  • Holiday Inn American Center or possibly another venue – last year’s conference was a bit crowded so we may consider a new venue in Oshkosh (Oshkosh Alumni building). The Leadership meeting was held there and it may suit our needs. Jean P. will check into fees and availability.

c)Newsletter – Deb G. did a great job of writing an article of the Seminar in the March Issue. Deb G. retired July 13th this year and you can read about her retirement in the newsletter. Fall/Winter newsletter deadline for WWA is October 1 – SAVE THE DATE – no comments on this topic but wanted to get the information out.

d)Speakers – bring names to October meeting – bring potential topics and info to the meeting. We will make a tentative agenda for our March conference.

e)Vendors – same and/or new – we had to turn vendors away this year due to space limitations, so with the potential new and larger venue, we can accommodate more.

  1. Other Items

CEU – Automated Checkin – did not do this at the Expo or Annual Conference. John A. and Joe F. have been working on this with little success.

  1. Next Meeting

Tuesday, Oct 25th, 2016 In-Person Seminar Planning Meeting 10:00 am with Lunch – Sally G. will host the meeting at the Oak Creek Water and Sewer Utility, 170 W. Drexel Ave., Oak Creek. The meeting will start at 9:00 am. Please contact Jean P. if you would like the meeting to start later due to travel time.
