The American Epilepsy Society Appoints New Director of Member Engagement
CHICAGO, July 23, 2015 - The American Epilepsy Society (AES) is pleased to announce that Keri Kramer hasjoinedAES as the new Director of Member Engagement. In this role Keri will be responsible for overseeing all areas of membership growth and programs designed to increase member engagement with the Society. She will lead development of strategic initiatives in membership programs and services, and work collaboratively with member committees to develop plans to meet member needs through program and service recommendations.
"Keri will be an essential part of our membership team, bringing her unique knowledge and insight to our programs and services," said Eileen Murray, executive director of AES, "AES already has an exceptionally committed membership and we are excited to have Keri help us build on this to take our member engagement to the next level."
Keri comes to AES from the Society for Vascular Surgery, where she served as Director of Marketing and Membership for this 5,000 member association. She led efforts that increased membership by 48% over the previous five-year average, and led development of a new website and membership databasedesigned to improve member engagement, create operational efficiencies, and increase the effectiveness of member communications.
Keri was previously Vice President of Marketing Communications at the Orthopedic Research & Education Foundation where she was responsible for launching new social media channels, and increasing fundraising efforts.Previous positions include Director of Communications at the Chicago Dental Society, Communications Manager at the Erikson Institute, and Marketing and Communications Manager at the Institute for Health Services Research & Policy Studies at Northwestern University.
