Warner Home Video,

I am writing to urge you to continue releasing one of your TV shows, "Whose Line is it Anyway?" on DVD. As the production company, you know that it was an Emmy-nominated hit for ABC for quite a few years and it has always had a large, dedicated fan base. With the wide selection of TV shows being released on DVD in the form of season sets, almost any show is guaranteed to make money nowadays. "Whose Line?" is no exception, especially because of its likeability to the casual buyer who knows how funny the series is, as well as its long-time fans. Now that the first season has been released already and sales were impressive, there is proof that this is a profitable TV show!

The show's popularity is evident in many ways. In addition to its run on ABC that began in 1998, it has remained consistent in reruns for numerous years on ABC Family, with that channel calling it a "workhorse that's held up wonderfully well." Also, cast members of "Whose Line?" are constantly performing live improv to sold out audiences all across the country. Another example is when the series began taping its first episodes. Usually new shows have trouble filling the studio, but with "Whose Line?" there weren't enough seats for the unexpected demand that the fans showed! You can even see how many fans of the series there are by doing a simple internet search and finding all of the fan sites that are dedicated to it.

Fans of "Whose Line is it Anyway?" know the advantages and possibilities of having TV shows on DVD include not only owning every laugh-filled episode with a crisp, clear picture, but also extra bonus features and unseen footage. We loved the uncensored extra materials on the first DVDs and want more of the same! This show was filmed unlike any other because 2 or 3 episodes could be made from each taping, meaning that a ton of leftover material still exists and has never been shown on TV. For example, when Robin Williams guest starred, he stayed for a full taping while only one half hour episode was aired. That leaves quite a bit of footage that is no doubt worth seeing on DVD. With DVDs, we can also finally see the show uncensored and not have to worry about primetime TV's regulations.

I plead to you to keep releasing more "Whose Line is it Anyway?" DVDs, complete with bonus footage and uncensored episodes. I constantly enjoy watching the season one DVDs you have already released and would love to have all 200+ episodes in my collection soon! With the show's large fan base and its popularity with the general public, it will definitely continue to be a hit with home video releases. I look forward to hopefully seeing more DVDs of this series in the near future.

Thank you for your time and consideration,
