Vicky,

Thank you, this is fine, to reiterate so that all are on the same page:

  1. You will be taking the emergency snow phones tonight, Sat. night, Sunday morning and Sunday afternoon/evening
  2. You will call Michelle S. and tell her when you are leaving for the baby shower on Sunday and transfer the snow phone to the hood phone so Michelle can field the snow calls while you are out of service area attending the baby shower
  3. You will call Michelle immediately after the baby shower and transfer the snow phones back to yourself to handle for the rest of Sunday until you come into the office Monday morning

Thank you Michelle for your help!!!!!!!!!

I am not exactly sure because I do not have the invitation with me.I am going to call Michelle to let her know that I will be transferring the snow calls to the hoods phone once I leave to go to the shower. Once I am finished I am going to call Michelle to let her know I have transferred the calls back to me.I never went to Michelle she came to me and then came to you.

Vicky,

I need to know what time you are leaving your house for this baby shower before you leave work today. I have to make arrangements for snow phone coverage and cannot do this until I get an answer from you and I cannot wait until you get home. Please…. Give me a time.

Not sure I will have to check the invitation once I get home and call you. The boys are not home right now to call them and ask them to check for me.

I didn’t refuse taking the phones I haven’t even said a word about them. I have had a baby shower scheduled for the past three months for Sunday up on the mountain in Huff’s church area where there is never any service. Since I was not on the schedule I did not know that I would be taking the phones. I already RSVP’d for this shower two months ago and plan to go. All I was saying is that I have baby shower and I will not be able to do the phones while I am there.

Vicky,

Needless to say, I am disappointed in your response. All members of the Snow Department, yourself included, agreed to accept responsibility for taking the emergency snow phone on a rotating basis. All agreed that it would be rotated between Leslie, Jean and yourself.

You asked, during this meeting, to not be put on the schedule for weekends and that there were also weekdays you would not be available to take it due to Dr. appointments for your son. However, you stated you are a team player and would help where needed. Michelle and I took this into consideration and have accommodated you accordingly. It was hoped that you would return the favor.

This has put a heavy burden on your peers. Should you continue in your refusal to accept a required duty, I will be faced with the dilemma of how to provide coverage for the snow department over this coming weekend.

Please also be aware that this will not be tolerated upon your move into Solid Waste. Barbara and I made it very clear that you will be required to be on the weekend emergency phone rotation. If you are not able to take the Solid Waste emergency phone on your scheduled weekend, you will need to find a replacement,if no one is available to switch with you, you willhave to take the phone period, there is no refusal.
