A. The Board of Trustees of the Walnut Springs ISD convened in a Regular meeting on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the school library.

With a quorum determined, Johnnie Billman called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m.
B. Opening Prayer was given by Brent Prescher.
C. Minutes of Previous Meetings
A motion was made by Brent Prescher and seconded by Linda Hargrove to approve the minutes of the meeting held on June 21, 2012.
Motion carried 2-0-2. (Johnnie Billman and Joe Herring abstained due to
absence.)
D. Public Participation – None
Items for Consideration
1. BUDGET AMENDMENT
None
2. PAYMENT OF BILLS
A motion was made by Joe Herring and seconded by Linda Hargrove to pay the bills.
Motion carried 3-0-1. (Brent Prescher abstained due to conflict of interest.)
3. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS
Ms. Garrett reported on the following:
· Records Retention Consultants scheduled 87 boxes for destruction.
· District is approved for E rate. The district will receive about $26,000 to $28,000 for the t line and $5000 for the phone line.
· FIRST rating results are available. The district received a Superior rating again this year.
· GPA policy changes. Other local school policies were distributed for Board review. Any changes would need to be made before school starts.
· Students gone to Corpus Christi for the State FFA meeting.
· Students will be participating in the Six-Man All Star football and basketball games in Lubbock the week of July 16th – July 21st.
4. LUNCH PRICES 2012-2013
Ms. Garrett presented that due to Paid Lunch Equity mandated by the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 the paid lunch prices will have to be raised by at least $.05 and up to $.10.
A motion was made by Brent Prescher and seconded by Joe Herring to raise lunch prices by $.05 and leave the other prices the same.
Motion carried 4-0-0.
5. ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Brent Prescher and seconded by Linda Hargrove to
adjourn at 6:49 p.m.
Motion carried 4-0-0.
